Zenith
Zenith glanced at the sheet again and skimmed over the numbers.
“Hmm…nope. These are indeed the right answers. If you don’t wish to continue, that is entirely your choice, but you’re doing fine so far.”
He stole a quick glance at Grace who appeared to be still working on her sheets before turning his attention back to his own. A question from Matt didn’t keep him from filling in a few more answers though.
“Uh, sure. What did you have in mind?” he asked without looking up from his paper.
Awa shifted a bit, then took the paper and pencil again. Now concentrated on the sheet, she didn't notice that she had plopped down on the floor next to Matt. Chewing her lip a bit, her eyes analyzed the squares before she began writing in more numbers.
Okay if this is...then that must be...yeah that makes sense....
She was a bit lost in the sheet, so she didn't completely notice what exactly the two were talking about now. Instead, she gripped her pencil harder and chewed her lip.

"Exactly." Matt said, coming up to rest his chin on the desk. He held out his hand, and shut his eyes, concentrating deeply. His hand turned a greenish gray, and the coloring advanced slightly, coming to a stop halfway between his wrist and elbow.
Navigate.. don't touch nothing but the Thalamus. Brain damage would be a pretty bad first impression..
Matt could see the Thalamus in Zenith's mind stop functioning. Blood was still flowing, but it wasn't processing sensory information anymore.

Zenith
One moment, Zenith was working on his puzzle and the next he was just…doing nothing. He didn’t have any sensory stimuli of any kind. He didn’t even know if his eyes were still open. A mental image of himself slowly formed and he looked around at the blackness that was the deep recesses of his brain.
“What the hell happened? Heh, I guess this is what Matt meant by his experiment... It’s good that I can still do this though. Hmm, he must have tampered with something internally, probably probed my mind or something. I’d better send out a lightning strike so that nothing bad happens to me while I’m in this state.”
On the outside, a few arcs of electricity danced around Zenith’s body. Anyone who got too close would receive a minor shock.
"Hmm. No freaking out.. he's actually pretty calm.. okay, now that e've done it with no processing.... let's crank it up real high.." Matt leaned backwards to avoid the electricity snapping off of Zenith, and opened his book. His hand's color changed tones again, and Matt felt Zenith's Thalamus going into overdive, yet not overworked.
Awa's head snapped up quickly, and she barely noticed the pencil slip out of her hand. Just what the heck was going on? Zenith looked...well different. And Matt was talking to himself about....something. She shrank away a bit, due to the electricity, then noticed Matt's hands.
Is he doing this?
She frowned a bit, but decided not to say anything yet against it.
".....what are you doing?"

Zenith
The inner Zenith could ‘sense’ that something was going on, but he didn’t quite know what until the Thalamus started acting up.
“What the hell is going on…? Uh-oh…”
The blackness suddenly gave way to a bright, white light that was intense enough to cause the inner Zenith to shut his eyes.
“Holy shit! This cannot be good…”
The outer Zenith’s eyes dilated and then he stood up and then sat back down in his seat. He did this a few more times before his hand flew up to his head and started to pat it while the other rubbed his stomach. The motions increased in speed and soon a large ball of static electricity was formed. His eyes blinked rapidly and all of his hair stood on end as the friction produced by the frantic rubbing of his stomach caused the ball to grow larger. Arcs of electricity danced all over his body and soon a strong wind started to blow around him, sending the Sudoku sheets flying through the air. Zenith could clearly see what was going on, (well, as much as he could while blinking extremely fast), but he had no clue how to stop it. His inner self reappeared in his head, dazed and confused, amidst the bright, white light.
“That Matt guy must be messing with the Thalamus! Any more of this and my powers could go completely haywire! And that...could have severe consequences.”

Awa's question threw off his concentration, and Matt was evacuated from Zenith's mind.. just as he began to go haywire.
"Oh.. oh, damn.." He stood again, both hands outward, and glowing up to his elbows. The electricity coming off of Zenith was hurting him, making concentration, and thus neat application, impossible.
Matt unwittingly shattered the mental barrier; he was in Zenith's body, basically. for a moment, everything was quiet. He saw a bright light, and when he reached out to touch it, Zenith's body, neatly censored, appeared in front of him. He scowled a bit, then touched this faux Zenith's forehead. The brain was brought into focus, and with it, the Thalamus. he reached for it, planting his hand on the organ. It was solid, and yet when he activated his powers, his hand slipped into it. He made a small gesture, and the Thalamus abrubtly stopped, then reset iself, back to human standards.
He left Zenith's body as soon as possible, to find his whole arms wre glowing gold.
Matt smiled and held up his open book, showing her the page on the Thalamus.
"Coming into my own, you could say. At first, I negated the function of the Thalamus, resulting in total lack of sensory perception, then I overcharged it, which caused a seizure of sorts, due to the hyperactivity of it. It was probably too much for the rest of the brain to handle.. I should keep that in mind if I were to ever use this again.."
His explanation was rapid and excited, he was happy with what he had found out. Throughout the conversation, he hadn't realized that his arms were still gold, though inactive, only noticing after his explanation was given.

(Ah, the 700th post. How time flies.)
Zenith
The inner Zenith screamed and ran around in circles, clutching his head in panic.
“Not good, not good, not good!”
He didn’t know what to do to stop what he sensed to be his powers becoming very dangerous to those on the outside. Too much electricity and a power surge could happen. If the outer Zenith formed a cloud and it started to rain while there was still electricity present…
Amidst his panic, the inner Zenith was suddenly confronted by a figure who he assumed to be Matt. Zenith stopped and stared at the newcomer, but before he could say or do anything, Matt reached out and placed his hand on Zenith’s forehead. He was instantly calmed and felt a wave of relief and serenity wash over him. The figure then disappeared and soon the outer Zenith started to calm down. The frantic motions were slowed and stopped. The blinking was slowed down to normal. The wind died down, but not before blowing the Sudoku sheets back onto the desk and the arcs of electricity vanished. Zenith blinked a few times and then surveyed his surroundings.
“Geez Louise, what the hell happened?” he asked as he rubbed the back of his head. “That was some crazy trip…”
It took a moment for Zenith’s brain to register that Awa was asking him a question and he promptly answered her.
“Yeah, I’m alright; thanks for asking.”
He then turned to Matt with an annoyed look.
“I would strongly advise you to not do whatever it was that you did again. I wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt because my powers went out of control. My combinations of water and electricity do not harm me, but they could be deadly to you. And hurricane-force winds are nothing to sneeze at either; no pun intended.”

She wanted to be happy for Matt, she really did. He seemed so excited and all. But she couldn't let him get away with this without SOME form of criticism.
It wasn't the forceful reprimanding she had been going for, but it was just as well. She didn't want to anger anyone afterall.
"I'm glad you're alright Zenith...."
Frowning again at Matt, she slowly nodded.
"Congratulatioins on your accomplishment as well...."
Slowly, she picked up her sheet and handed Zenith back his pencil. Mumbling a quick 'thanks' she scurried over back to her seat. She couldn't bring herself to really look at Ken, Grace or Eliza. Ken especially, since this madness had cut them off in the middle of a conversation. Sitting in her seat, she dared not turn around.
"....sorry...."

Zenith
“Thanks for your concern, Awa,” he smiled back at her.
He wasn’t sure if she had heard him or not, but he was glad that she cared. It showed her humanity; unlike some other people that he knew… After she mumbled a quick ‘thanks’ to him, he watched her silently as she made her way back to her seat and sat down. He could tell that she was a little embarrassed by the whole situation and he wanted to let her know that everything was fine, but he didn’t want to inadvertently upset her more, so he left her alone.
“She is a very interesting girl. She likes to help out others and has a strong caring side to her. I’m sure that Grace is very lucky to have her as a friend.”
He gave her a warm smile and then turned around in his seat to look at his puzzles again. He still had a ways to go with the rest of the Sudoku sheets and they were indeed proving to be very difficult. Not about to let the recent events deter his thinking, he picked up his pencil and resumed his work.
“Ah, sheet number five… By the way, congrats on your achievement, Matt.”
"What are you apologizing for?" Ken snapped at Awa. "Coming back?"
Eliza couldn't stand it anymore. Ken could hit her with everything he had, but she had to say something. "Come on, Ken," Eliza groaned. "Cut it out. She's trying to be nice, though I don't think you deserve it..."
"Of course you don't think I deserve kindness," Ken smirked at her. "Villains don't believe in kindness. Guess your dislike of me just proves my earlier point."
"Asshole, shut the fuck up!" Ugh, Ken always brought out the worst in her. And now he was going to hit her with awful pain.
Except he didn't. Ken simply laughed at her outburst and turned away.

Zenith
Zenith quickly finished sheet number five just as Lucas dismissed the class.
“Haha, nice! Whoo, what a rush these things were!”
He then rose from his seat and slapped the five completed sheets on Lucas’ desk.
“I gotta tell ya, these puzzles were just as you described, but I managed to get five out of the ten done. I’ll just take the other five along with me and get them back to you later. How does that sound?”
Without waiting for a response because he knew that Lucas wouldn’t mind, Zenith grabbed his things and walked out the classroom intent on heading to the cafeteria for lunch. They would be serving lasagna today among other foods, and the smells were already wafting through the hallways. He noticed Awa standing by the doorway, presumably waiting for Grace to come out.
“See you and Grace at lunch?” he smiled at her as he walked passed her towards the cafeteria.

((I'm editing Eliza's elemental power because now that I think about it, it is kind of godmod-y. I will not be editing the previous posts, though. Because I'm lazy.))
~Eliza~
Eliza stood, running a current through the taps on the soles of her heels. The resulting magnetism pushed her a few inches off the ground, and she floated out into the hall. No one looked at Eliza funny. Flight was normal in Sky High. Next was lunch. Thank God. Eliza's fits were exhausting and she had had two of them that morning.
Ken hung back, letting one of the sluts that trailed after him glomp him. Eliza remembered his freshman year. He hadn't been very popular at all. Then he took on a senior villain and won. After that, most of the minions and even a few villains couldn't get enough of him. He looked good, he knew how to use his powers. Of course he would become popular.
The other villain girls looked down on Eliza. And Eliza didn't blame them. She was open about not wanting to be a villain, and they took that as a personal insult. It wasn't Eliza's fault they didn't have thick enough skin.
Eliza's usual table - in the back corner of the cafeteria - was empty, so Eliza sat down. Pulling out her lunch of a roast beef sandwich, grape juice, cheese and crackers, and strawberries, Eliza also pulled from her bag the summer reading, River Cross My Heart. She had started the book, hated it, and put off reading it until now.
Sighing, she leaned back against the wall and closed her eyes. Such an embarrassing day, and she'd barely been in class yet. Frowning, she slipped onto the floor and pulled her knees to her chest.
Come on Grace.....
She saw Eliza hover by, and blinked. She didn't bother to say anything because she seemed preoccupied. Nobody seemed to notice her on the floor, so she merely observed. She saw Ken and a few slutty villains. One of them glomped him, it was actually a pretty funny sight. Despite herself, she couldn't help but giggle a bit.
Then, she flushed and hoped nobody had heard her. If only Grace would hurry up she could escape to lunch.
((It is lunch. New schedule doesn't go into effect until IC tomorrow.))
-Ken-
Ken heard Awa giggle and looked down at her, his arms wrapped around the waists of two girls whose names he didn't even know. "Are you waiting for your sidekick?" he laughed. "How pathetic. Are you sure they didn't accidentally reverse your placements?"
"Well this is the address." Sig said to himself as he reached the house that was listed as Ken's place of residence.
As Siegfried got out of his car he touched the sidewalk and absorbed some into his right hand. He then walked up to the house and knocked on the door.
After a few moments wait a man opened the door with a bit of slurred speech. "Who the hell you?" he asked with the smell of whiskey strong on his breath.
"My name is Siegfried Johnson I've come to talk to you about your son." Sig started as soon as he had finished the man yelled out "You can get off my property you freak." He began to shut the door with all his might but it became stuck.
"What the---" The man said and saw a hand made of concrete.
Sig then forced the door open and pushed the man back and shut the door behind him. "Now if you don't mind I would like to have a talk with you if that is possible in your drunk state."
"I ain't drunk." The man said as he swing for Sig who blocked it with his hand of concrete and landed a punch square into the man's face who reeled back in a slight bit of pain.
"You'll have to do better then that." The man said as he charged Sig who grabbed the man in more of a tackling manner and forced him into the floor.
The man however was able to shove Sig off of him and caused Sig to fly into the wall and swung at Sig who ducked the swing and the man hit the wall and he grabbed the man's arm and twisted the man onto the floor.
"Now listen well you drunk fool. You'll not lay a hand onto your boy Kenneth, other wise I'll do more then just give you a bloody nose like I just did." Sig said as he looked around and noticed that there was a bit of blood spill from a broken nose.
"Just get the hell out of my house, you bastard." the man said trying to struggle his way out from under Sig.
"I'll take that as an 'OK I understand.'" Sig said as he knocked the man out with a blow to the back of the head and left the house.
"I figure he will be up in a few hours." He said as he speed off to the location where teachers were suppose to be for Sky High and he headed back into the school.
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!

MY RETURN!
Devlin
Devlin had gone back to his class to prepare for his lesson. He had decided to plan somethign special for the first class of the year, something he was sure his students would enjoy.
"A little surprise never hurt any one...well their was that time that that one guy found out about me...boy was he surprsed when he died so I guess some do, heheh."

Zenith
Zenith entered the cafeteria and then got in line for some lasagna and garlic bread. After he got his lunch, he headed to the cashier and handed the attendant a five-dollar bill, which was more than enough to pay for the Italian cuisine. He always seemed to have money on him, which was odd considering he never had a real job, but he was grateful that he had it around in case of emergencies. After he got his change, he found an empty table nearby and took out his copy of The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene.
“Let’s see what George and Gracie are up to now…” he mumbled to himself as he flipped to Chapter 4 entitled Microscopic Weirdness.

"Hello, Eliza!" Matt's habitual outurst breaking through the negativity. "I hadn't realized you could fly.. then again, I don't really know your power that well... anyways! I thought of a nice trick to play on Ken. The male body does produce estrogen, contrary to popular belief.. I can temporarily reverse testosterone and estogen levels -prefferably while he's with his swarm of girls- and.. well.."
He made a pause and grinned, knowing she was smart enough to figure out what would happen.

Awa fidgeted, looking from Ken to Grace. On one hand, she didn't want to just let Ken say things about her. On the other, Grace needed an answer. Sighing, she straightened up a little bit.
"W-We're going to Lunch..."
She was trying to sound more confident about it, but she couldn't help but stutter a bit. Old doubts came flooding back.
Ken is right....maybe I'm not supposed to be the Hero......
She gazed at the ground, trying not to look upset in front of them.
"I think we should......we could make some friends...."
Awa paused, floating a bit on h er own. She know she shouldn't, but she knew she had to at least try. Turning slightly to look back at Ken and his two villaness 'whores' She smiled a bit.
"Y-you two are....free to join us if you'd like..."
She held Ken's gave for a moment before turning back to Grace.
"Come on Gigi...."
She grabbed her friends hand more firmly and nodded towards the cafeteria.
