Lucia was NOT having a good day! For one her Power Placement schedule had been held up by idiotic reasons and now most likely the students were running around the school causing fights and such! It irritated her when things did not run smoothly. Now as she walked into the Gym , clipboard in hand and heels clicking on the wooden floor. Lucia Eden stood in her dress posh and proper as she swept her gave over the bleachers.

"Aheming" abit she began her introduction. "Ahem, I am sorry for the wait- issues had to be taken care of and things such as that. NOW. I am Lucia Eden, The power placement and Gym teacher here. Please leave questions until the end of my introduction! I assure you all will be answered soon." Looking up from her clipboard, she settled her gaze on the students.

"You will come up this stage upon, your name being called. You will then be given a test of your skills- or powers." But first- before that each of you will be given a written test to see your knowledge of superpowers." She summoned desks from the other side of the room with chairs, the papers and pencils with it too, as they went in perfect rows.

"Now please sit down FIRST YEAR ONLY." "No using powers for your test, trust me I can read minds now- If you may sit down please, as for the returning students you may sit there and keep your mouths shut- least I do it for you!" "Now 1st years- begin please."

Ken scoffed at Awa and Grace. Like he would go to lunch with a hero and her sidekick? Yeah, right. "Come on," he murmured to the girls on his arms. "Let's take lunch outside..."




~Eliza~

Eliza looked up from her book at Matt and heard out his suggestion. "Oh, my God!" she laughed. "You are evil!" Still, the idea of humiliating Ken like that was tempting. "We probably shouldn't..." Eliza mused, her lips curling up in a smile despite herself. "I'm not technically a hero, but you..." Eliza snickered. "But it sounds like so much fun!"

In his fourth year in Sky High, his record for tardiness was never broken until now, after all he had a reputation to up hold within the ranks of this 'school' and he dispised the fact his scheduled maintenence had delayed his arrivel.

"Blast it all" Caifan cursed as his bus finally arrived causing the driver to look back at him for a moment, it was the first time the teen was in his new uniform and most likely the driver didn't recognize him, "My apologize, it's not towards you. Had to go through another forced update."
He flexed his left arm as if to prove a point, the arm made several clicking sounds as their new gears reacted to Caifan's nero-implants.
"That and my reputation is at stake."

Thankfully Caifan's 'caretakers' had called ahead about his delay, so hopefully he wouldn't have to go through the mandatory talk to from any of the teachers.
The receptionist who had taken the call was also kind enough to send him the new timetable.

He gave the driver a thanking wave and made his way to gym, after the second year he made sure he kept a watchful eye out for 'fresh-blood' coming into the school. And since his eyes could zoom in on the student, Caifan could have a small reference on each new blood.

He chuckled, remembering to his own first year, they had placed him as a side-kick at first and because of his original uniform many of the villains took their time to make fun at his expence. Unfortunately for him one prank included filling his respritory system with mustard, which had a 'slight' backlash when his care-takers found out that their 'prime' example of cyberetics had been badly man-handled. This led to a radical change to his arm and costume, not to mention attitude needless to say, many left alone after Caifan took the proverb, "To make an omelete you need to break a few eggs" quite literary.

After a few minutes he arrived at the gym and as he entered quietly he gave a small wave to the teacher on duty, also showing that he had a note with the reason to why he was so late.

[Nekoman]

"Just tell me if you'd rather have him gay, or a woman." He laughed, watching Ken leave the cafeteria. "Personally, I'd prefer him a woman. Hmm... Karen. Yeah."

~Eliza~

She giggled at the thought. "Maybe another day. I've already gotten into trouble twice this morning. The effects are reversible, aren't they?" As much as she wanted to see Ken change gender, she wasn't sure she wanted it to be permanent. The Sky High girls were so much more vicious than the boys, and Ken was sadistic enough already.

[Nekoman]

"Well, duh. If I can chane him one way, I can change him back.. though he would have a rather flabby chest from that point on.." He made a face in mock-pondering, then laughed. "But alright, if you don't want me to.. Hey, Eliza.."

Matt turned to face her, his expression becoming serious.

"I think I'm going to ask to switch over to minion class.."

Awa

Awa frowned a bit, but shook it off. She couldn't make anyone do what they didn't want to do. Maybe someday he'd come around.....

Doubt it....

Sighing, she grinned at Grace.

"Uhm.....so.....er......Lunch...."

Pathetic.

"I know I'm sounding a bit crazy lately but...."

She lowered her head a bit, lowering herself to the floor once more.

".....do you want to sit with Eliza?"

She ducked her head down, afraid of the reaction she would get.

A Hero worried about her Sidekicks opinion.....shocking.

"I.....I don't know but....I think I want to be....both of their friends...."

She had spoken to alot of people today, and so far most of them seemed really nice. She realized then, that she was going to sit with one of them today. She wasn't normally the pushy type, never actually, but this time she felt if she didn't try......

Nobody will....

That thought depressed Awa, of course the two villains would make new friends. But, it seemed nobody could even befriend her unless it was out of pity or boredom. With the exception of Grace of course.

She nodded her head in the direction she spotted Eliza in.

".....y-you......with me?"

She looked at the ground again out of habit.

Grace

Grace smiled at her Hero.
Always asking her opinion, some people thought it was weird, but Grace thought it meant that she was just a much more kind and caring Hero than all the others.

"Okies!" she said, glancing across the crowded lunch room at the sea of people until she spotted Eliza.

Her eyes caught on Zenith for a second and she sent a happy breeze his way, to stir up his hair as a jest.

She then took a hold of Awa's arm and dropped them both closer to the ground.

"Shall we?"

Matt's statement took Eliza by surprise. "Wh-what?" she stammered. "Why? Minion class... It's worse for your reputation than Villain class. Don't do that to yourself." Eliza had had the label forced on her. Matt was a good kid. She didn't want the same thing for him.

Looking up, she saw Awa and Grace approaching the table. "Well," she murmured. "It looks like we might have company?"

Zenith

“Ah, nothing quite like a visit to the Quantum Café, also known as the H-Bar, for my favorite pair of space explorers,” said Zenith as he turned another page in his book.

He then felt a slight breeze drift through his hair and lifted his head up in confusion. He spotted Grace and Awa moving towards Eliza’s table and had a feeling that it came from Grace. He then started twirling his right index finger until a small breeze was formed and he playfully sent it her way. He smiled when it ruffled her hair slightly and she looked back at him. Zenith could also see Matt sitting at the table with Eliza and he was still a little miffed at him for the incident in math, but he could never hold a grudge for very long.

“He probably knew what he was doing, but he still could have told me beforehand,” he said going back to his reading and eating a mouthful of lasagna.

"Hmm looks like it is now lunch time. I didn't think it was that long actually." Sig said to himself as he entered the school and looked around the school seeing kids going off to lunch.

He decided that he would go into the teachers lounge and see if his sandwich and salad were actually still their or if some jerk had taken it... again.

[Nekoman]

"I was just saying, all these villains.. I mean, how many others are like you? Being forced into your position? So many villains have turned into heroes, it's impossible to count, because they got the right nudge. The right motivation. I figure I can help, and being a mionion would get me closer to the villains who need my help.."

~Eliza~

Eliza wasn't convinced. "From my experience, there actually aren't a lot of closet heroes in Villain class this time around. But if you're sure..." She smiled. "I guess it couldn't hurt to try to reach out to people."

[Nekoman]

"Hmm.. maybe next year." He said jokingly, then stood to go over to the food line. "I'm starving, to say the least.. and the little bout didn't help.."

Matt distracted hiself as he let his mind wander, a talent he had. His wanting to switch to minion clas was an immediate outcome of his fight with Ken. He had seen the pain he was in while he was in mutuality with Ken, brief however it was. Matt wanted to help, not just the other illains, but Ken especially.

Awa

Awa giggled, at least Grace and Zenith seemed to get along.

"Alright....lets go....."

Squeezing Grace's hand tighter, Awa glided towards Eliza's table. Then she stopped.

Oh....Its Matt....

This sudden change wasn't completely unwelcome. In fact, she was glad he was there too. She wanted to be friends with him too, so this was really good.

But...what if they don't like me?

She froze, suddenly petrified. Her hands shook a bit, and her eyes traveled to the ground.

That's right....why would they want to be friends with some....nosey....sidekick-hero like me...? How could I have even thought....been so stupid.....

Gulping, she looked up at Grace in shame.

"....maybe......this isn't a good idea......"

Her voice sounded dead, even to her. She grimaced, not liking it at all. In a lighter tone, she continued.

"....maybe we should go to the library afterall...."

She kicked herself for losing her nerve, but at least Grace might be happy.

[Nekoman]

"Do you want to come with, Eliz--- Oh, Hey! Awa!" Matt walked over and grabbed her hands in a rough handshake. "I was wondering when you would be let out for lunch!"

Awa

Awa gasped, her head snapping up. Her eyes widened and she stared at Matt for a moment.

W-when did he.....!?

Instantly, her eyes were on the ground again. Her hair fell over her face a bit and her face heated up. Why was everyone paying attention to her all of a sudden? Biting her lip, she took a few breath to calm herself down.

This is so embarrassing....

"..o-oh...hi..M-M-Matt.....Y-yeah....w-we just..."

She gulped a bit, trying to steady her voice.

"We just....got out...uh...hi?"

She didn't notice her hands gripping Matt's tightly, her grip strengthening in her nervousness.

That was a stupid...stupid thing to say...meerrrrr

She opened her mouth to say more, but nothing but a few babbles escaped. She clamped her mouth shut tightly, her face heating up more.

Dammit.....

Her shoulders slumped, shaking a bit. Oh well, so much for being friends....

[Nekoman]

Matt couldn't help but let out a laugh. It wasn't condescending, just friendly. He turned to Grace, still holding Awa's hands.

"She's adorable, ain't she?" his laugh dying as he said it. "Anywho. Maybe y'all can sit at our table, that is, if Eliza dosen't mind.."

He turned to Eliza, a pleading look plastered on his face.

"Oh, wait.. that is, if you aren't going anywhere? You looked ready to leave.."

Awa

Awa shivered, he still hadn't let go of her hands.

Is he.....laughing at me?

She whimpered slightly, then lowered her head. She was laughable wasn't she?

....adorable, ain't she?

Her face flushed at that. Adorable? People never called her things like that. It was kinda nice. Maybe she hadn't blown it afterall?

"s-sit?..."

Pf course, that was what she had wanted to do in the first place. But getting an invitation seemed like so much more pressure. She lowered her head, slowly releasing her grip on Matt's hands.

She looked at Eliza and managed to smile. Of course she wanted to sit with them. She and Grace never got to sit with people before. Awa couldn't help but think it was her fault for being so anti-social. It wasn't her fault she got so nervous though.

. . .

She wouldn't think about that now, she had plenty to deal with without trying to find the center of her anxiety problem again.

Truth be told, Eliza was enjoying all the positive attention. And who could resist Matt's puppy dog eyes? "I'd love it if you'd sit with us," Eliza smiled. Then she turned to Matt. "You can go ahead and get food without me. I packed my lunch."

Awa beamed, eyes snapping up to meet Eliza's.

"R-really? Y-you sure?"

She couldn't help but giggle though, her hair falling away from her face slowly. Maybe....they could be friends.

She could tell that her open hyperness was shocking people, she giggled. Grace was the only one who got to see her like this when she wasn't Bubbly Balloon.

This.....will be a great year.

[Nekoman]

"Sweet! Well, I'll be right back, then!" Matt darted off, stomach growling.

Wonder what they're serving for the first day of school! Ooh! What were the.. prices.. again?

Matt stopped, shoved his hands into his pockets and pulled them inside out.

"Silly me.. I've left my wallet at home... ah well!" Matt marched back to the table, sitting down with a blissful smile.

Fight the hunger.. fight the hunger.. ignore it and it'll go away......

"I guess I'll just read then." Matt pulled out his anatomy book and buried his nose in it.

Awa blinked, frowning slightly.

That was fast....

She didn't want to seem too nosey, so she stayed silent as she stared at Matt.

Why did he get up in the first place.....isn't he hungry?

She blinked in realization, but stayed quiet. It would probably embarrass him to fuss over whether or not he's eating.

Still....

Pulling out her bag, she hesitantly revealed a plain brown paper bag.

"U-uhm....hey....I'm not very hungry....anyone want some of my food?"

She made a point to make eye contact with Matt briefly before lowering her gaze to the floor.

Matt's stomach roared, but his face remained the same, stuck in a faint smile as he read his book.

He wasn't going to take food, especially not from Awa, when it was his own fault for leaving the house in a huff this morning.

Still, she was trying, and he would have to repay her later.

Awa

Awa blinked. He was completely ignoring her, and she didn't understand why. Chewing her lips slightly, she glanced at her lunch bag. Narrowing her eyes at Matt's roaring stomach, she did something completely unlike her.

She growled, scowling up at Matt. Her pinkish red eyes flashed for a moment, and she shoved the bag at him.

"Don't you give me that mister, I know you're hungry."

Her eyes narrowed a bit more before her eyes suddenly widened. A huge red blush spread across her face and she was shaking again.

O-oh oh no! What did I do THAT for!? W-what came over m-me? Oh no....this is so embarrassing....shoot shoot shoot!

Backing away slowly, her eyes clenched shut and she bolted.

[Nekoman]

"Oh dear, I think I've gone and offended her.." Matt's hunger was gone, in it's place a deep sadness. He jumped on the table and ran after her, nimbly dodging kids on his way.

[Jesus woman, you too high maitenence]

Awa

Awa was making good pace, dodging students left and right. Still, she could only do that for so long with her eyes closed. Also, seeing as she was already embarrassed and clumsy, an accident wasn't too far off from happening.

That's exactly what happened.

One second she was fleeing from Matt, Eliza and Grace in embarrassment, the next second she was tumbling towards the ground.

No not now not now....

It was too late though, and she crashed onto the ground, Her eyes widened as her smacked into the ground.

Eliza jumped to her feet when Awa ran, but Matt was already after her. "What on Earth...?" Sitting back down slowly, Eliza looked to Grace. "Is she embarrassed? It was really generous of her to give her food to Matt..."

[Nekoman]

Matt hurried after Awa, but stopped as a crowd flooded the hall. Try as he might, he couldn't wedge himself through, and the other hallways were sure to be packed as well.

"That girl fall right no her pie!"
"Dude, she okay?"
"Naw, who cares? Funny as hell!"

Matt tried to block out the conversation, but he couldn't take consescension, especially since Awa was his friend.

"Move it! Gah! MOVE!" Matt tried to crawl under, jump over, whatever through the crowd, but it was no use, people just loved thier funnies. In one of his attempts, some kid elbowed him in the stomach, and he landed hard on the floor, winded.

"DAMMIT!! MOVE PEOPLE!" Matt prang to his feet and a few students turned to look at him, but quickly resumed thier jeering.

Matt felt his fingernails digging into his palms, his fists were balled so tightly.

"I SAID, GET OUTTA MY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He screamed, and his hands and eyes glowed brilliantly. Abrubtly the hallway just stopped. People were silent, and frozen in the motions they were carrying out. Then, one by one, they began to move to the side, jerking as if pulled by invisible strings. Matt, still fuming, plowed through the few remaining students and over to Awa.

"Awa, are you alright?" Matt's voice carried another with it, the two voices speaking at the same time, but in different pitches, creating an echo effect.

Awa

Awa's face burned bright red. Everyone was staring at her. Teasing. Laughing.

She cringed, whimpering slightly.

"That girl fall right no her pie!"
"Dude, she okay?"
"Naw, who cares? Funny as hell!"

Tears sprang to her eyes, and try as she might, she couldn't stop herself from crying. This only cause the crowd to howl louder at her suffering.

W-why...why did this have to happen....

She stared at the ground, shivering and crying, while listening to the cruel jeers of her peers. She curled into herself a bit, wanted nothing more than to shrivel up and die.

"DAMMIT!! MOVE PEOPLE!"

She blinked, recognizing the voice.

W-what's going on....?

The other students paid Matt no mind though, merely pointed and laughed at her more. She shrank back further, trying to hide from them.

"I SAID, GET OUTTA MY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And suddenly, all was quiet. She didn't dare look up, but she thought she heard people moving. All she could hear now were the soft sobs that she hadn't even realized she was emitting.

Until she heard an echoing voice.

"Awa, are you alright?"

Finally, she did look up. Her face was all puffy from crying, and her eyes were swollen and red. Her face in general was red as a tomato from all the embarrassment. Still, despite all this, she tried to smile for Matt.

He really is a good friend.....

Trying desperately to stop her tears, she wiped an arm over her face.

"I-I'm fine....."
