-Dan- Dan frowned when Lilly said no, but perked up when she asked what he had. He didn't HAVE much, but he could make practically anything. "Uhh, pretty much anything you can think off, really, so what do you want?" he asked.
-Dan- What?! Creative?! he thought angrily. "Fine, if you want creative, then I think I can do that." he said as his nanites produced an odd-shaped pistol from his fore-arm. "If you shoot someone with THIS, it'll temporarily paralyze them by over-loading the nervous system, so basically they'll be crippled for about a minute or so. So if someone's bugging you, just zap 'em with it." he said. "And No, it won't work on me." he added.
"My my, this IS creative. But it you were REALLY being creative, you would have used it on me."
Whistling, her ears made a soft twitch before she could protest.
Stop it, behave.....
After what happened last time, she wasn't about to let her ears be touched so easily. She was surprosed that he had actually managed to produce something useful though.
-Dan- Dan frowned, but he'd expected this, so he was prepared. "I can make more, or have that weapon be disintegrated whenever I wish, so I should get something here." he said smirking.
-Dan- Dan smiled. "You know, I didn't want to do this because you'll probably maul me, but hey, worth it." he said as he raised his arm so it was level with her, palm open, and in the center was a glowing circle, emitting a high-pitched whine. He fired a beam from the circle straight at lilly, intending to stun her like the pistol would.
Lilly smirked knowingly. Oddly enough, she had been expecting this.
And he failed
Her ears twitched slightly before she nimbly dodge the beam. Turning around, she rose an eyebrow to Dan.
"Ah, how did I know you'd resort to that. Got to be more creative Rin."
She knew he wouldn't be though, and that was wy she knew her ears were safe. She had delt with this sort of things multiple times before, it was rare for someone to surprise her and do something vastly creative now.
Dan frowned. She'd seen it coming, but he'd thought of this, as the beam he emitted had contained some of his nanites, and they were now floating through the air, headed towards her, and burrowing into her skin so they could overload her nerves and stun her. "Nice, but in about 10, maybe fifteen seconds, you'll collapse anyway." he said, regaining his smile.
Lilly's eyes moved to her arms. Inspecting them quickly, she rolled her eyes and smiled a bit.
"Ah, I see. Wasn't expecting a double attack."
Figuring she wouldn't allow herself to be known as a quitter, she tried to get rid of the nanos. She heated her body scalding temperatures, so hight she could burn a normal person's flesh at the mere touch of her pinky.
She didn't know much about nanites, but she figured she'd give this a shot anyway.
-Dan- Dan smiled. The nanites were linked to him, so he knew all that they did, and so he was informed of the dramatic rise in Lilly's bodt temperature. At least she was trying. "Raising the temperature won;t help, the only thing that can hurt my nanites is an EMP so strong that it would fry your brain!" he said triumphantly. Though he might need something to cool her down when she collapsed...
Lilly cursed mentally, of all the times for her healing to not work.
Guess I'm not all here afterall....
She could feel herself losing feeling (odd right?) and soon she fell to the floor. Her body temperature was still raising steadily, she may be immobilized for awhile, but like hell she'd let him get a fee without her consent. She'd burn him alive first.
Dan smiled, he'd won. His nanites were coating his hands with a specialized substance so he wouldn't get burned, much. He walked over and sat down next to her. He reached over and patted her ears, trying to ignore the burning in his fingers, and like he though, the ears WERE soft. "We could have avoided this whole thing you know, but hey, I got what I wanted." he said, standing up and walking over to the others, his hand regenerating from the burns.
Lilly growled slightly, the floor beginning to melt under her. She wanted so much to fight back and say something snippy to him, but then she felt his fingers on her ears.
Against all of her inner protests, she let out a soft purr. She mentally scolded herself, wishing she wasn't in this position atthe moment. He was leaving, but she was self concious and thought he might have heard her.
Dan was about to plop himself down next to Sara, when he realized something. Wait a fucking minute, she PURRED!! he thought. He just fell onto the ground next to Sara. "Huh." was all he said.
Dan turned his head towards Lilly, as his nanites had reported that she'd gotten up. "Ah, you're up, feel free to keep the pistol, if you want." he said, smiling.

Evan and Nav-E
“At the moment, things have been boring as hell,” Nav-E replied to the robot. “I haven’t seen any good action in a while and I don’t know any of these people.”
Evan glared at Nav-E for the earlier comment and then turned his attention back to Boot. “I’m getting kinda bored myself, but I can always find a way to keep myself entertained.”
“I can do that too, but I would rather be on my laptop right now or taking a nap, not stuck here with a bunch of strangers.”
“They’re not strangers if you talk to them, Nav-E. Like what we’re doing right now, for example.”
Nav-E grumbled and was about to reply with a snotty retort when a mocking voice suddenly called out from his watch.
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Evan and Nav-E, the two human heroes of the Midtown Madness Universe. A little computerized human told me that you two are stuck in the future and on a reality game show, right before I threw him into a brick wall. So, how’s life in the future? Are there any flying cars around?”
The voice laughed at his bad attempt at humor.
Evan and Nav-E stiffened in their seats and stared hard at the watch. They had instantly recognized this voice and it only belonged to one particular car.
“Audi TTX…” both brothers uttered at the same time.
“Of course. Who the hell else would it be?”
“What the hell do you want?” Evan growled at the holographic image of an all-black Audi TT.
“Oh, nothing. I’m just checking up on my two most favorite humans from the real world. The same ones who keep stopping me from invading the other cities.”
“Yeah, well, you’re a complete egotistical asshole who would stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if it means hurting others in the process,” Nav-E growled.
“Ooh, temper, temper. I just want to take over this pathetic universe and rule over all of its inhabitants. So what if I have to run over a few people in the process? I might even consider branching out my conquest to the real world.”
“You wouldn’t dare…” Evan muttered through gritted teeth.
“Oh, I would dare, and there wouldn’t be anything that you or anyone else could do to stop me and my army.”
“What makes you so sure that you could win this time? We’ve beaten you loads of times before,” replied Nav-E.
“Ah, but this time I would have a secret weapon at my disposal. Something so powerful that not even the Komatsu 930e could stop it. You remember that giant machine in the middle of Silverwolf HQ, I presume?”
Evan and Nav-E looked confused for a moment before their eyes opened wide.
“Holy shit…” muttered Nav-E.
Evan was too shocked to say anything.
“Heh, judging by your expressions, I would say that you two are familiar with it then. You haven’t seen the full potential of that device and once it’s fully operational, upgraded, and under my control, overthrowing the Midtown Madness Universe and your own will be a piece of cake.” The Audi TTX paused for a moment, as if inspecting something. “My, my, such an interesting group of people there with you two. Friends, I assume? Heh, I will derive great pleasure from destroying all that matters to you two and them once the initial task is complete.”
“You keep them out of this!” Evan shouted at the watch.
“Ha, like they’ll be able to do anything to stop me. Bunch of worthless hunks of flesh and bone. Nothing compared to solid steel and 10,000 volts of electricity.”
Evan and Nav-E both growled at the watch, their eyes flaming red with anger and hatred.
“Well, I think I’ll let you two get back to whatever the hell it was that you were doing. Probably a nose-picking contest or something. I have universes to conquer anyway.”
The Audi TTX chuckled and then the image fizzled out. Evan and Nav-E sat in a mixed state of shock, anger, hatred, and frustration. A few seconds passed before Evan spoke up.
“Oh, fuck… We have a serious problem here…”
“Well, at least things are not boring anymore,” Nav-E noted.
Evan turned his head towards his brother with a look of sheer anger. Nav-E shrank back a little from the death glare that Evan was giving him.
Grinning like mad, Leyla slammed her final card down.
"MAO! Ha! I WIN AGAIN!"
She grinned smugly at her opponents, confettii falling all over the place. Her random outburst cut through the air, completely ontrasting the mood that Nav-E and Evan were giving out. It seemed she didn't even notice the danger apporaching.
"Another round!? Think you can take on THE MASTER!? HAHAHA!"
Laughing madly, she stared at the irked, and even disheartened expressions of her companions. It was quite amusing to her really.
Lilly frowned, glaring at Dan more. She couldn't REALLY let him LIVE could she?
At least it was only one little slip up.....
Still, she couldn't really have someone KNOW what touching her ears did to her. It was too much of a weakness for her own good. And yet, even as she thought of all these things, her ears twitched the tiniest amount.
She knew that she couldn't fight in the house, so she'd have to think of something to get him back. But what? Couldn't she just wipe his memory of the incident all together?
No, unfair or not, he still beat me. I have to honor that I guess. Besides, too many witnesses would notice a slight change in his behavior.
Scowling, she twirled the pistol a little bit in her finger. She guessed this was a pretty good exchange anyway. She really wanted to see what it would do to the Vessel.

Boot
"Talking cars huh? I shall assist you my friends. My tools will be very valid for taking down fast moving vehicles. I may not have weapons, but my teleportation abilities mean I should be able to enter and eliminate any complex." Boot said.
"I don't know what you mean by boring... robots are never bored, just idle or not... it's one of the emotions robots don't have." Boot explained.

Evan and Nav-E
“You’ll be able to take down a flying car with ease?” Nav-E asked Boot. “The Audi TTX has hoverpods and can move very fast whether on the ground or in the air. Plus, like any other Midtown Madness vehicle, it can shock others with huge amounts of electricity and can protect itself with force fields. Are you sure you can handle something like that?”
“Any complex, huh?” asked Evan. “Wait, do you mean ‘complex’ as in the vehicle itself or a building complex?”
Post by tomaszavenger on Feb 15, 2009 17:36:05 GMT -5
"I meant like a building complex... sorry for the definitions error, I'll update that..." Boot said.
"Any electricity would just increase my strength, and teleportation passes through force-fields, since it works on space distortion... shouldn't be too hard. Only problem will be figuring out a weakness, but with internet research I should be able to take it out." Boot said confidently.
After updating definitions in its onboard dictionary, it walked a little on the spot, as if to demonstrate idleness.

Evan and Nav-E
“The Audi TTX’s weakness? Yeah, good luck figuring that out,” replied Nav-E. “We’ve been trying to do that for months and we haven’t come up with anything. Plus, that giant machine that he’ll have at his disposal will make him practically untouchable. It’ll do all the dirty work for him so that he can slip in unnoticed and gain control from the inside-out. In addition, I don’t know what Internet research is going to do; there isn’t really much information about him. The only thing that we do know for sure is that he is related to the Audi TT and the Audi TTZ. If we can find them, then maybe we can find out more about TTX.”
Evan tilted his head at Boot’s question about boredom.
“I would think that idleness could be a form of boredom for a robot or some type of machine. If you are not actively doing something at the time to occupy yourself, then yes, it could be considered boredom.”
Dan watched Lilly, expecting her to pounce on him and beat him to within an inch of his life, but it hadn't come, so he just settled for having his nanites monitor her activity for a little while, even though he could regenerate from almost anything now, he still wasn't a big fan of pain.
He turned to Sara and said, "So, I asume you lost, judging by your expression."
Zach sighed. Already he was noticing patterns in people's behavior. They were stupid, violent, and shot the nearest person to them with insults and punches. Which made Zach a little disappointed, as these were all opposite the facades they had on the Clan. Except for Tom. Then again, Zach didn't know Tom too well, which he regretted.
Leyla narrowed her eyes at Dan and Lilly, wondering what the heck they were up to. This tense mood was seriously messing with her celebratory mood, and she didn't like it when people ruined her fun.
"Hey, what's going on you guys? Something happen?"
She was a bit concerned about what went on, afterall, she didn't want Lilly to be kicked so soon. Despite her attitude towards the demon, she actually did care about her. If she hadn't, she would have abandoned the poor girl long ago.
Poor girl...yeah right.
Turning her gaze, she realized that Lilly was absolutely fuming. Her eyebrows shot up at the murderous intent. This was nothing new to her of course, but the fact that it had happened so fast was a shock. Looking closer, she noticed some other emotion she couldn't quite place. All she knew was that it looked VERY alien on the fox demon's face. When she saw the demon's fist clench, she knew this guy was in trouble. Surprisingly though, she merely went back to twirling her pistol in her hands.
Where'd she get that?
"Lilly? What's with the weapon...thought you only used your fire whip?"
The poor brunette was so confused, that she completely forgot about her winning streak at Mao.
Dan's attention turned to Leyla when she asked what happened. He was debating whether or not to tell her she'd actually made Lilly PUR, but decided that if he did, he'd most likely regret it for the rest of his life. "Ohhh, nothing really, I just gave her that so she could sht people up when she wanted to, and I guess she's mad because it won't work on me." he said shrugging. It's not THAT far from the truth, I guess, but I just hope she doesn't break me in half later...
