Evan and Nav-E
“Our next competition is a dance competition?” asked Nav-E, as soon as the speakers went silent.
“I guess so…” noted Evan.
“Huh…okay,” Nav-E shrugged. “It will be a good way for us to test how long we can go without sleep. We both haven’t slept since yesterday morning.”
“Yeah, hard to believe that it’s only been roughly a day so far, unless my sense of time has been really altered.”
“I have no idea. I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to keeping track of time. All that I know is that it’s roughly early afternoon or so.”
Evan put a hand to his chin in thought. “So, who should be our partners? We’re the oldest ones here and it would be kinda weird to dance with someone younger.”
“Hmm, how about we dance with each other? The OOC guy did say that before dancing, the contestants should select the dance and background music, and then describe how we dance to it in the ballroom.”
“That would be pretty interesting. Wait, who’s the OOC guy?” asked Evan, raising an eyebrow.
“I’m not sure; probably some random person, but he did sound a lot like Tom.”
“Huh… So, what dance should we do and to what music? And it can’t be something corny or outdated like the Macarena or something.”
“Aw, hell no! What kind of brother do you take me for?” laughed Nav-E, clearly amused that Evan would even bring up something like that. “I was thinking more along the line of the We Like to Party dance.”
Evan stared wide-eyed at Nav-E. “Are you out of your freakin’ mind?! Do you know how complicated that dance is? And we don’t even know how to do it!”
“Okaaaay, how about all of the dances from the Evolution of Dance?”
“…No.”
“Yeah, you’re right; we only know about half of them or maybe even less. Let’s see…”
The two of them ran through a list of songs and dance moves in their minds trying to figure out the best combination. After several minutes, they hadn’t come up with anything.
“This is going to be harder than I thought…” said Evan as he massaged his forehead. He could already feel the lack of sleep starting to take its toll.
“Maybe we should wait and see what other people are going to be doing before we make a final decision,” suggested Nav-E.
“Yeah, I think we should. Maybe something will come to us in that time period.”
(Fourth wall breakage FTW! =D)
