Awa jolted, being acknowledged wasn't something that happened very often. She sent back a quiet 'see you in class', but she didn't think Zenith heard her. Sighing, she stared into the hallway at Eliza. She seemed okay now, no real reason to be worried.
Still, she was.
"Hey Grace......what do you think about Eliza....?"
She was a bit curious, and she didn't bother asking about Zenith. She knew Grace liked him somewhat, she had just been pissed before.
Grace
Grace grimaced slightly and took Zenith's book off the shelf. "Wrong spot.." she muttered, ignoring her friend's question for a moment to replace the book in it's correct home.
She tilted her head in thought. "Eliza.. I unno, not many classes with her. She's a little... Interesting. I like the way she treats the books." she smiled, making a mental list of the people she liked in the library.
Her petit feet lifted off the ground another inch before she crossed her legs 'indian-style' and propped her head on her hand, her elbow resting on her knees.
"Don't we have to go to second period soon? I know we have the same scghedule, and I have first period free, so don't we have... uhm.. math.. next?"

Zenith
Zenith raised an eyebrow as Eliza suddenly quickened her pace towards the history classrooms. When he caught up to her, she had a mixed look of annoyance and fear in her eyes, like she didn’t really want to enter the classroom she was standing outside of.
“Is something the matter?” he asked her, slightly tilting his head.
It wasn't that she was horrible at math, she just didn't enjoy the subject very much.
".....yeah.....math....."
She wondered about what Grace had said, then grinned. Maybe Eliza was a little more accepted than she thought?
"I like her....a little messed up but.....I don't know. She seemed really sad though.......maybe we...."
She ended her sentence there. Grace wouldn't want to be bothered with that kind of thing. Maybe it would be better if she kept her mouth shut and went back to the books.

Lucas
Hahahaha... It's time for math! And all the students come to me! Hmm... how will I do this. Stupid school only has a single teacher for every year!
Okay... I'll just hand out the sudoku... make it a FUN lesson, as I always do in the beginning of the year! Yes... then I'll prepare all the other stuff for next lesson.
Just wait for all of them to file up into their classrooms. For 1st to 3rd Year, room 3A, and for 4th to 5th Year, room 3B. I'll increase the difficulty for the 4th and 5th Years, give them the killer sudokus... hehehe. And I'll make them have to complete a sudoku before they're allowed to leave, so some may come early, and some late. And those who are late, will have to do detention. Sometimes I don't think I'm much of a hero actually... hmm... skip the detention. I'll just allow the kids to go early if they complete it, and then the ones that don't have to stay the full period...
Lucas went round the two classrooms and threw randomized sudoku sheets over the desks, and waited for his students to come in.

Eliza couldn't help but laugh at Zenith's question. God, she was tired. "Super highschool, super bullies. Does the Hero class have sadists like that guy in there?" she asked, thinking of the redhead.
((This kid's starting to take form. Do I need to draw up a bio for him?))
[This will be Matt's introduction post, and I'm using Jonathan in it. After this, I'm not using Jon anymore, or Martyr for that matter.]
Matt stood as One started speaking out loud. He went over to his cot and pushed him back into a laying position, telling him repeatedly he needed to rest. One wasn't budging though, and Matt reached up and placed a hand on his head. Smoke billowed from his hand and seeped into the skin on One's forehead. In a few seconds, One was knocked out, snoring on the cot. He nodded to the nurse, then grabbed his backpack and left her office.
He was required, as a biological super, to help with the nurse whenever she called him. He was her favorite because he so elegantly KO'ed the students she didn't want to deal with. His regular teachers always allowed him to go, which was good because he missed most of the school day helping her.
Hurrying to math, he found Lucas, the math teacher, handing out sudokus, and he grimaced. These were his least favorite puzzles, not that they were hard, just time consuming. He would probably get called back to the nurse's office soon, and would have to turn in sloppy work.
"Sir? Perhaps I can do an alternate assignment?" He asked, catching the teacher as he went between the classrooms.

Zenith
“Interestingly enough, yes. People like that are not just limited to the villains, and we heroes actually enjoy it because it adds some variety to our daily schedules. So, that’s what your dreading, having to deal with people like those guys?”
Zenith wasn’t too sure if Eliza was just faking it to make it seem like they were nothing more than cockroaches that she could easily step on or that she really was afraid.
“I don’t know; the way you set me on fire earlier proved to me that you are pretty tough. Super bullies should be no problem for you.”
Eliza grimaced again. "I could defend myself, but against Ken, that means throwing the first punch, and - when I'm in my right mind - I'm actually kind of non-confrontational." She glanced back at the class. But I can't run forever...
The bell rang, dismissing the students to Math class, and Eliza withdrew into herself. She was effectively invisible to people not actively looking for her. And, as she had hoped, Kenneth Logan and his cronies passed right by her. Once they had gone, Eliza reemerged, blinking as if to clear her head. "Well," Eliza said to Zenith. "I guess this is where we part considering we have separate classes."

Zenith
Zenith was about to say that if she wanted to stand up to her bullies, at least one of them he guessed as going by the name of Ken, that she should not be in her right mind and fight the guy the way that she fought him. He kept his mouth closed though because for one thing, he didn’t want to be putting the wrong ideas in her head and for another, he didn’t want people coming after him if they found out that it was his idea in the first place. The bell rang just then and the class subsequently let out before Eliza said that this would be when the two of them would part ways.
“Yep, I guess I’ll see you later then. Take care.”
Zenith waved to Eliza as he walked passed her towards the Math wing. He could have easily teleported there instead, but he wanted to use the walk to stretch his legs and to get some exercise. After he reached his classroom, he found numerous Sudoku sheets arranged on his desk.
“Aw yeah, I love doing these things! Heh, seems as though Lucas handed out the more difficult sheets for the veteran students to complete. I should be able to finish these in no time.”
He then sat down at his desk, cracked his knuckles, and started to fill in the Sudoku grids at lightning speed.
Ken took his normal seat in the back corner of the math class, crumpling up the sukoku sheets on his desk to use as ammunition later on when he got bored. He hated number puzzles, sudoku most of all. The pack of losers that followed Ken around circled around him like a human wall of villains, gossiping and snickering amongst themselves. For the most part, they didn't even look at Ken. Most were afraid to draw attention to themselves, and most were content just being in the group. They thought it somehow shielded them from Ken's powers. Tcha right.
Just as Ken thought that, that blonde slut Marcia walked past, briefly trailing her fingers through Ken's hair. "Hey, stud," she smirked. Yeah, Marcia thought that because Ken had thrown her a bang back behind the school a few weeks ago that they were going out now. Something should be done about that.
Ken smiled as Marcia gasped, suddenly clutching her hand to her chest. "Don't touch me, bitch," Ken reprimanded, his tone deceptively pleasant. "And don't talk to me. What made you think I want to deal with your ugly ass?" Marcia gaped at him for a moment as tears welled up in her eyes before she ran for her seat. Served her right. Scowling, Ken fixed his hair where Marcia had mussed it.
And that was when Eliza Paine walked in. She had skipped first block. Hiding from Ken? Maybe. That be nice, if she was off crying somewhere because of him. Her seat was at the back of the room as well, in the opposite corner. She didn't like anyone being behind her. Or maybe she was just skittish with Ken behind her. Didn't really matter. Eliza set her books on her desk and sat, immediately starting on her sudoku like the good little hero she used to be. Heh, guess she didn't make the cut to stay with all the goody two-shoes.
Ken hit her with a jab of pain on either side of the neck, and she flinched, a soft cry of surprise escaping before she could bite her tongue. Then she glared at Ken. Her eyes flashed gold for a moment as the air around her shimmered with heat and crackled with electricity, but Ken wasn't worried. That little threat was all Eliza ever did. She never actually followed through with it. Ken had heard about her fits, though. Seemed the priss actually did have it in her to be a villain, though she tried to surpress that for God knows what reason. Heh, maybe he could push her over the edge, corrupt her, permanently.

Lucas
"My my... is this the attendance we have? Well... must be a load of latecomers! For all of you who have arrived on time, you can have a Pez!" Lucas said, and he dispensed a few sweets and gave them to everybody in the two classrooms.
"We'll wait for the latecomers a while longer... talk amongst yourselves. When they come... I'll give them the Bombez!" he said, a small chuckle coming from him, before he went out into the corridor.
"WHERE ARE THEY!" Lucas said angrily.
Dart
"Sorry I'm late sir... seems one of the villains had a bit of a bloodrush!" Dart said, smiling at Lucas, his favourite teacher.
"Well hello there Dart! Good to see my prime student is doing fine this year. Here... have a Pez!" Lucas said, throwing a sweet at Dart. But Dart, instead of consuming it, put it in his cannon, and fired it out of the window. The Pez exploded mid-air.
"Not going to get me with the Pez trick this year!" Dart laughed, before taking his place in a slightly modified chair Lucas had built him.
"Good to see your trajectories are still in order. Got that additional calculus alright?" Lucas said. Lucas always provided a special afterschool session for his top mathematicians. He was quite a favouritist of a teacher. He'd treat nobody badly, but a few of his students were given priveledges... usually the mathematically gifted or the mathematically dumb.

Eliza moved to pick up the piece of candy the teacher had given her, but touching it sent a jolt up through her arm. There was no question of whodunnit. Ken was openly snickering. He zapped her again when she picked the candy up a second time, but she ignored the pain and ate the sugar pill. Eff you, man, said the look she shot him.
For a few minutes, he left her alone, then it felt as if a bee was repeatedly stinging her thigh. Eliza was so not in the mood for this, and she wondered if she could blame a fight on Elizabeth. Probably not. The people in Ken's posse would immediately report that her eyes weren't red. But still. "Is this really funny to you, Ken?" she demanded, turning towards her antagonist.
The redhead laughed and smiled disarmingly. "Of course."
He stabbed her in the side, and Eliza couldn't help but hiss in pain. "Cut it out, Kenny!"
Immediately, it felt as though she had been gut shot. "Never call me Kenny, bitch," Ken growled as Eliza writhed.
Tears fell from Eliza's eyes, but she wasn't going to let Ken win. Not this time. "Or what?" she grinned. Her vision took a yellow tint to it as a bolt of lightning jumped from her to Ken. His concentration broken, the pain subsided and Eliza was able to sit up straight again.
"Shouldn't have done that," Ken snarled sitting up where Eliza's attack had shoved him back into the wall.

Zenith
Zenith twirled his pencil in his fingers before setting it down on the desk and smiling.
“And done. …Wow, that was it? Huh, I was hoping for more of a challenge… Maybe Lucas can create a few 18x18 grids for us to work on next time; those sheets were too easy.”
He then noticed the small PEZ candies on his desk that had not been there previously and popped them into his mouth.
“Mmm, cherry flavor…and Lucas said that the latecomers would be receiving the Bombez.” Zenith chuckled. “Heh, seeing those people having to deal with that is going to be interesting to say the least.”

Lucas
"That's enough!" Lucas said angrily, throwing a bombez at Ken to knock him down, pinning him, before Dart shot his cannon into Ken while he was down.
"Hey... are you okay Eliza? I guess you can be my villain-leader this year..." Dart said in concern. Whoever Ken was... he was a villain he didn't want to mess with.
"Now... do your sudoku! AND DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN KEN!"
They were late to math! Panicking, Awa grabbed Grace's hand and lifted into the air.
"Hurry Gigi! We're late!"
She had to pause for a moment, letting Gigi place yet another book in the correct place.
"Is now really the time for this? Gigi......"
She didn't want to go to math, but she didn't want to skip it. She felt bad enough being late as it was. Sighing, she saw that Grace was being OCD with the books again. She figured she might as well ask for a pass to math.
"Uhm....I....uh..."
The librarian smiled, handing Awa a pass.
"Needed a pass?"
Awa flushed, nodding and accepting the pass.
"T-thank you....."
The librarian merely shrugged her off, stating that she and Grace were the exception to the 'no pass to class' rule. Aftterall, they came in during most of their free time to help out in the library for the past two years.
Turning to Grace, she waved the pass in front of her.
"Hello? We have a pass now....but we still need to get to class!"
She didn't want to think of the consequences of being late, the teacher may be a hero, but he didn't act like it sometimes. Seeing that Grace was a lost cause, still mumbling about the books, she literally had to drag Grace away from the shelves. The librarian laughed as the two girls exited the library, Grace protesting all the way.
Maybe we won't be too late....
Gulping, she stood in front of the classroom and shook. The pass nearly slipped from her fingers and she knocked on the door, fidgeting.
"What the fuck?!" Ken yelled, standing. "That freak Paine is the one who struck me with a fricking bolt of lightning, and I'm the one getting blown up by the teacher?!" He turned towards Eliza. "And you get made freaking 'villain-leader'?! What the fuck?!"
Eliza had stepped back, pressing herself against the wall, her head ducked. But she glanced up at Ken, smirking. Serves you right, Kenny, she mouthed, and Ken lost it, hitting her with enough pain to make her whimper as she passed out.
Sig sat around in his office. "Ah lovely no classes today unless people have engineering today. Even then I'm not the main teacher. I'm just there to make sure things don't get out of hand." He mumbled as he decided to go for a walk and make sure no students were getting seriously out of hand.
"Why do I get the feeling we might have to suspend more people this year then in the past.. that or we will have more problems with disipline or student anger problems?" He asked as he locked up the door to his office and went off to make his rounds.
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
Grace Grace pouted as Awa dragged her towards math class. She hated math more than anything.
Sighing, she sent a gust of wind to knock open the door, signalling their arrival. As she floated in, she assesed the scene before her. Eliza Paine blacked out on the ground, Ken... Whatever his name was above her, smirking, and Lucas and Dart trying to keep him down.
"Well," she said loudly, turning a few heads, "that's one way to start the school year."
Grace quickly dropped her books at the last window seat, the one in front of Eliza, and hovered over the fallen villan, wondering how to heal pain inflicted internally, the way Whatshisface worked.
It didn't hurt anymore. At least, it didn't hurt all over. Eliza's head hurt like hell from the fall. Her eyes fluttered open, and she sat up, groaning. "Sonuvabitch," she breathed, pulling herself to her feet to glare at Ken. "Was that really necessary?"
She turned to Dart. "I'm not going to be your villain-leader. I don't like being in villain class. I'm here because hero class didn't like me my first freshman year." Sighing at the bitterness in her voice, she reined herself in and sat to struggle through the sudoku. "Happy first day of school, everybody..."
One, alot of people were looking at her now and she didn't want to be noticed.
And two, it looked like trouble had already found its way into Math class.
Lowering her head, she all but ran to the teacher, handing him the pass and babbling low apologies about their tardiness. Then she looked around to find a suitable place to sit. She wanted nothing more than to sit right next to her friend, but she thought Grace might be mad at her so she decided to keep her distance. Sighing, she lugged her supplies to the opposite corner of the room. Right in front of 'Kenny'.
It wasn't that she much wanted to sit there, really. It was just that, if Grace was taking care of one half of the problem, Eliza, then she figured it would be the least she could do to take care of Ken. Glancing at the desk, she found a sudoku puzzle and groaned. Like she could concentrate now.
So three, she was now sitting in front of the pain magnet of the school.
Slumping in her seat so as to appear the least noticed as possible, Awa got to work on her puzzle.

Lucas
Hmm... there seems to be a lot more trouble this year... only years worse than this were 2000 and 2005.
"I know fighting is usually encouraged... but NOT IN MY CLASS!" Lucas shouted angrily.
Lucas took out a pistol from his desk, and loaded it with shock bullets. He aimed at the desk next to Kenny, and suddenly, a burst of electricity began to stun anybody within 2 metres of the blast.
Lucas took out the PDA from his pocket, before chatting silently into it, and clicking some buttons.
The electricity gun's effect quickly wore off...
"Now... do your sudoku... and Kenny... you're in DETENTION!" Lucas said, before sitting down on his desk.
Matt was ghostly pale. Not only did the teacher outright ignore him, but now he was stuck in the back row, between the two most violent students. He clenched his desk, then diverted his attention to his worksheet, but shoved his face down so close that the page became blurry, but he dared not move after that.
"Please don't say anything to m--" Matt's silent pleading was cut off by the shock bullets, and his body tensed. He let out a small squeal, and fell forward into his desk. The teacher hadn't aimed at 'Kenny', but the desk NEXT to his.
"Just my luck, getting caught in the crossfire.." He mumbled as the effect receded.
The hell? Paine had fucking shot him with a fucking bolt of lightning, but the teacher was fawning over her and put Ken in fucking detention. Growling, Ken walked towards the front of the room, involutary waves of pain rolling off of him to hit everyone he walked by, and grabbed the pass to detention before leaving. Once out in the hall, Ken managed to get around the corner before cutting loose. "SON OF A BITCH!" he roared, spinning to kick the lockers. They didn't dent - they had been designed to withstand the wrath of pubescent superheroes and -villains - but they did produce a satisfying crashing noise. Partially calmed by his release, Ken continued to the detention room.

Zenith
Zenith could hear all the commotion coming from the adjacent room and wondered what the heck was going on.
“Heh, probably something to do with the Bombez that Lucas was talking about. I hope I didn’t miss all the fun. Just because I’m not one to start fights doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy watching them.”
He then got up from his desk and walked over to the door dividing the two classrooms from each other. He looked into the classroom and could see the teacher in there as well as Eliza who was seated in the back hunched over her Sudoku sheets while Grace hovered near her. Awa was seated on the opposite side of the room also hunched over her sheets.
“Hey Lucas, hope I didn’t miss any action with the Bombez,” he said as he leaned against the doorframe. “By the way, do you have any 18x18 Sudoku grids? The 9x9 ones were too easy.”
Awa yelped, not only from the electricity emitted from Lucas, but also from the rolling waves of pain Ken was sending out as he left for detention.
Oh thank goodness he's leaving....he probably wouldn't be so bad if he didn't resort to causing pain all the time....
Sighing and rubbing her arms quietly, she hunched over her puzzle once more. She filled in the answers quickly, with delight. She'd hold on to her puzzle for awhile though, nobody needed to know she was pretty good at these things.
They might think I actually like the subject.....
She bolted up again though, when she heard Zenith in the doorway. Flushing from making herself stand out again, she slumped lower in her seat.
I'm a hero...I shouldn't be surprised when somebody says something from the doorway...I should have known he would be there....stupid stupid.....
Sighing, she grabbed her pencil and pretended to still be working on her puzzles.
After one last go-over with Eliza, Grace flashed a smile to Zenith in the doorway and sat down.
Glancing over her shoulder, she could see Awa 'working' on her sudoku. Yeah right... she thought to herself, She's probably already finished.. Damn number whiz.
She glared at her puzzle, taking her pen out and scibbling on a scrap piece of paper to get it writing. After about a full minute of that, she hit her head on the desk, realizing that she had grabbed her older brother's dead pen off the counter that morning.
Stupid Wes, keeps messing up my day... Does it on purpose, I swear..
She sighed and looked up, saying loudly to no one in particular, "Can I borrow a pen?"

"Well... Zenith, move onto the killers? You know how they work? No numbers are given to start with, just boxes are grouped by red marks. Those marks have one box with a number in the top corner... and your boxes with those marks have to add up to that number. So if you wrote in that group 2,4,5 and the number was 12, then you got the combination wrong!
Eliza tried not to look when Zenith came in, but her eyes drifted up anyway. God, she was so embarrassed. It wasn't that she had gotten into a fight in school, it was that she had started it and lost. Ken had KO'ed her with one attack.
And now Zenith was saying how the 9x9 sudokus were easy? Eliza knew he wasn't intentionally trying to piss her off, but she could feel the anger rising her chest. She hadn't even gotten one row on her first sudoku. She just couldn't think in the terms required by the puzzles.
Red began to pulse at the edges of Eliza's vision, and she closed her eyes against it. God, twice in an hour. What was doing this to her? How did she have the energy for this? Breathing deeply, she forced herself to calm down, and when she opened her eyes, the red had receded a bit, though not entirely. She had to get away from the other students, but had Ken made it to the detention room yet, or would she run into him at the most inoportune moment?
It was a risk she would have to take. Eliza was shaking again from the effort of keeping herself sane. "Mr. Knight, I need to go to the nurse. Now." She didn't even wait for his response before she fled.
Matt was almost done, his first completed puzzle! He felt so accomplished, and he was about to place the last two numbers in thier corresponding boxes when--
"BEEP! BEEP!!!! BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!"
Matt groaned and threw his pencil to the floor. The nurse was calling him AGAIN.
"Sir, I need to--" Matt was cut off by Eliza, who had dashed from her seat as soon has her words of excusal left her mouth. She was going to the nurse, lord knows why, but he figured he might tag along behind her. He clcicked off his beeper and left the room, spying Eliza. she was headed down a different hall, which was the opposite direction to the nurse's office.
Matt fidgeted, either she was lost or confused, or just cutting class. He stood for a moment, contemplating what he should do, then thought of the arrogant nurse's abuses. He ran after Eliza.
