Bunny Bunny tightened, and spoke in a soft, shaky voice. "B-bunny Wakeman.." She pulled off her glasses and began furiously wiping them with her shirt, a nervous habit.
Brick Brick's temper quickly elevated, and he jumped at Zim, pinning him down by the neck. "Liar! You work for Dr. X! Him and that horrible association tortured me and my brothers, and you're going to stand there and lie to my face!?" Brick's anger overshadowed the curiosity over the new girl.
Bunny "No, no.. Mrs. Wakeman made me.. at least.. a stable version.. But she wouldn't tell me anything beyond why she made me.. Her daughter is the only reason I know my 'past'.." Bunny straightened, replacing her glasses. and looking dead at Blossom.
"I'm so sorry, Bunny," Blossom whispered, unable to either speak up or get the memory of Bunny exploding out of her head.
Gradually, though, she became aware of Brick strangling the alien Zim. "Hey, cut it out!" Blossom ordered, pulling Brick off of Zim but keeping a hold on the invader before turning to him. "What is this about an organization torturing the RowdyRuffs?"
"Black Eden bastards claimed they were 'training' us.. All they did was tear apart our bond! I can't even LOOK at my brothers anymore because of these assholes!" Brick tried to jump on Zim again, but was held back by Blossom.
Bunny
"She told me that I was just meant to be a backup. You were overworked, so you wanted a new sister.. It's not much of a purpose, but it made me happy.. But then I set those criminals free.. and nearly got you killed.." Bunny jerked her head away.
"Bunny, it's not your fault," Blossom tried to comfort, but Brick was struggling against her. Black Eden...? "That's why the RowdyRuffs aren't together anymore?" She rounded on Zim. "Is that true? Were you with this Black Eden?" And now her cell phone was buzzing to announce an incoming text. Like she could check it right now. Great...
Bunny "Rowdyruff? ROWDYRUFF!?" Bunny bolted at Brick, pinning him to the ground in a flurry of purple and red, and breaking through the roof into the floor below. She growled, her hands slowly expanding and her eyes glowing purple.
Brick Brick had the wind knocked out of him, when the shock wore off, he was staring into a pair of large, glowing purple eyes, and was held down by a pair of meaty fists, conneced to a pair of muscular arms. His skinny hands clutched the girls arms, desperately trying to escape, and he elbowed the floor beneath him, breaking it, and getting free. "NOT a good idea to attack me when I'm pissed!"
"Stop it, guys!" Blossom cried, racing after them and leaving Zim. She positioned herself between them, facing Bunny, and tried to talk sense into them. "Bunny, Brick is good now. He's trying to be a hero. Brick, don't you dare hurt my sister."
"I don't even know why she's attacking me! Wait, sist--" Brick was interrupted with a punch to the gut by Bunny. He flew through a pair of walls and out into the street below. Bunny came charging after him, having grown into a hulk-ish figure, roaring and snarling. She attempted a downwards punch, but Brick jumped out of the way and the asphalt was shattered under her fist. When Brick darted away, Bunny roared again and flew after him, faster than he was, obviously. He ducked and she flew overhead and dug her feet into the asphalt to reverse her forward momentum. Brick used this pause to dock an energy arrow, But Blossom's request struck through his head. He sighed and pulled away the bow, opting instead for his over-hand claw. When she came at him again, Brick used a punch of hers as a staircase to jump on her back and dig his claw into her shoulder, which was met with a deafening roar. She grabbed him off of her back, and slung him into a building, reinforcing injury with a deep red laser eye blast, which Brick met with his claw. He was pushed into the concrete wall as he struggled to deflect the beam.
I hope it's been long enough for this pendant to work, Blossom prayed streaking after the two of them. Willing it to not mess up she dove into Bunny's eye blast, fully expecting searing pain. But the shield had activated. Katz's pendant was completely absorbing the beam. But for how long? "Bunny!" Blossom tried again, an odd feeling of nostalgia rippling though her at the sight of her hulking sister. "Bunny, Brick's not a bad guy anymore!" Even her voice was taking on the same slow and patient tone it had all those years ago.
"Bunny's purpose! Kill.. ROWDY BOYS!!" Bunny spoke in the dim-witted voice of hers, her muscles had to be balanced off with something, and her mid was the only thing that could have been deteriorated. She let the beam lax, and ran in giant steps towards the building, jumping right over Blossom and slamming a giant fist into an unconscious Brick, taking the building down with him. The smoke started to clear, and Bunny's arms began to shrink as her eyes returned to normal. Blood started to pour from her shoulder, causing a last roar which slowly changed into a high-pitched wail as the rest of Bunny's form deteriorated.
"Oh, my God," Blossom breathed. "Bunny! Brick!" God, who did she go to? Bunny was her sister, and she was still whimpering from the transformation. But Brick was unconscious before that punch. Was he even breathing now? Blossom ended up running to Brick. Blood trickled ominously from his mouth, but he had a pulse, faint but steady. "Bunny!" Blossom scolded as she checked to see how many bones were broken. "I told you that Brick isn't evil anymore! How can I make you understand?" Dammit, Brick needed a hospital or something.
"Look at my shoulder!! What kind of good guy does that?" She could feel blod leave her with every beat of her heart, yet she wasn't going to lose too much blood anytime soon. She glared at Brick's form, and stood. "Might as well kill him off now while he can't defend himself!" She lifted her good arm and a flurry of purple smoke erupted from her hand.
Blossom placed her entire body between Brick and Bunny, practically on top of Brick so that Bunny couldn't just go around/over her like last time. "What kind of heroine kills an injured, unconscious, defenseless opponent?!" she demanded. "And yes, I see that he scratched your shoulder," - whoa, should she really be downplaying her sister's injury? - "but look what you did to him! I saw him pull out his energy bow and then put it away because I asked him not to hurt you!" Standing, Blossom picked up Brick. "I'm taking him to a hospital. If you want to get your shoulder patched up as well, then you can come with us, but I swear to God." Blossom shot a glare at Bunny. "If you so much as shove Brick again, you'll have me to deal with as well."
Bunny was taken aback. She tightened, pulling off her glasses and looking away with a slight glare as she cleaned them. "You're right.." The words reluctantly escaped her lips. She still didn't trust the rowdyruff, her whole life was devoted to taking them out, there had to be a good reason behind that..
Blossom regretted being so harsh with her sister, but there would be time to apologize after Brick was taken care of. "Come on," Blossom said, taking to the air. She was pretty sure that there was a hospital a few blocks over, and... yup, there it was. Brick was admitted and after Blossom softly explained who/what he was to the doctor, she stepped into the hall to check her phone and stop its incessant buzzing...
Aku ancnt jpnse god. defeated by anon samrai, Max had replied. y?
complications, Blossom texted back. stlkr at pizza wnt 2 old tchrs. tchr rumord samrai w/ pst unkn. rumord sam samrai fought Aku. y would stlker go there?
Bunny held her shoulder, then recoiled as a thick purple smoke flowed from the gash. When the smoke cleared, her skin and clothes were completely repaired, as was the rest of her outfit (which had been ripped and torn during her transformation). She looked over at Blossom, who appeared to be genuinely worried.
She's not seriously freaking over that scum, is she? Or is she just playing the part to do the job later? Yeah.. that's it. That's my sister, smart enough to fool him into thinking she was his friend. It's so sad it's laughable..
Bunny laughed a little, then grinned broadly at Blossom. "So, when are you going to do it, huh?"
Zim picked up Gir who had suddenly feel asleep in all the excitment. He would never understand that about GIR. He headed home with not that many odd looks, not that carrying your sleeping dog was that weird to most humans anyway. When he got home he headed down to the Lab and checked his throat mostly cause he had almost been strangled to death. He then set to work on finding Blossom's number cause he knew she would probably have questions for her.
"Well she does seem to keep a low profile" he said as he accessed the mainframe to look up the number of Utonium Blossom in the FBI personal files. With job came many interesting skills. Zim copied down the number and sent her a text message to let him know if she wanted to talk, cause he knew she probably did. Luckily for Zim he was able to sent it as the same provider she used because he had never understood how this text speak or whatever it was worked.
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
(I'm tired of seeing this place all quiet, so imma post as Brick real fast)
Brick's eyes snapped open, and the pain reached him faster than his vision could. His hands snapped up, holding his nose, which had dried blood caked underneath it. As his vision un-blurred, he realized he was in a hospital bed, alone. No doctors, no other patients, no Blossom, just him and his bed.
Did Blossom go off with Bunny? Brick moved to get out of bed, the slight tweitch of his hand on his nose sending a jolt of searing pain into it. Tears entered the corners of his eyes, and he carefully pulled his hand away.
"Broken nose.. It'll be okay soon.. just.. don't touch it.."
Brick's feet hit the tile floor, and the stupid little hospital robe fluttered around his bare feet. "Lucky thing I decided to wear underwear today.." Brick said, noting the large hole in the back of the gown.
Now what the hell did I do to that girl that made her beat the shit out.. of..me!? How was she able to beat ME up? I'm fucking BRICK! I DESTROYED HALF OF FUCKING MEGAVILLE, AND YET THIS LITTLE GIRL TOSSED ME AROUND LIKE A FLIPPING RAGDOLL!
Brick was pissed, he had been forced to call his own ego into question, and that always made him mad.
There was too much going on. Blossom was tired, and even though the fight was over, things were still coming at her from all sides. "Do it?" she blinked at Bunny's question. "What am I going to do?"
That's when another text from Max came in. Fuck leet. it cant deal with samurai and ancient legends. call me when you can.
Blossom was only half way through reading that when another message came in from an unfamiliar number. it's zim. you have questions? i have answers.
how did you get my number? Blossom responded before turning her attention to the newest addition to the equation. Brick was awake. "Are you alright?" Blossom asked, coming in from the hall. "You're standing, that's good. I was really worried about you, man."
Brick "Gee.. thanks. So, why is she still here? I figured once you figured out your sister was a PSYCHO you'da scrapped her." Brick growled, glaring at Bunny through his bangs. "They still have my clothes.. so I hope you don't mind sticking around for a little bit. I need to get my hat back."
Bunny "You know, when are you gonna put Red in there behind bars?" Bunny went rigid as Brick walked up, his untied hair flowing around his ankles. She glared at the 'psycho remark but otherwise remained motionless.
"He has a name," Blossom said to Bunny. "It's Brick. And as for when I'm going to put him behind bars? When he hurts an innocent person."
She turned to Brick. "And I am not going to 'scrap' my own sister. I will not chose sides in this stupid feud. Bunny, I understand that you were trained to take out the RowdyRuffs. And, Brick, I understand that she hurt you. But you both need to grow up and adapt. Both of you are trying to be heroes, but you'll only cause trouble if you're hell bent on killing the other."
"Fine." Brick and Bunny both said in unison. "Shouldn't have attacked me out of nowhere though." Brick muttered under his breath. "Shouldn't have been a villain." Bunny muttered in response. Brick scoffed and was about to say something, but Bunny had turned away. He sat down in one of the plastic chairs bolted into the wall, his hair draped over him like a deep orange curtain. "Blossom, gimme your phone." He said, holding his hand out.
"I want to see what it is you've found out about that little green shit." Brick said, rather bluntly. Zim was his business, and he deserved to know what Blossom knew. 'Perhaps it could lead him back to Dr. Brisbane' was his justification, and his backup was that he didn't finish him off earlier. After all, Zim is technically a villain.
Zim texted Blossom back. I have a set of skills that allow for me to get things done when I need to get them and you can tell brick he can come too as long as he doesn't want to get me killed.
It helped that he could hack into a simple main frame of camera's. Zim smirked from his lab as he was watching the plot unfold at the hospital with his hacked network of the hospital cameras.
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
Blossom read the text over. It was not reassuring at all. Why would he mention Brick? A shiver ran down Blossom's spine. "I actually haven't learned much about Zim, yet," she told Brick as she texted Zim back. "But I think I might have an idea as to how we can find out more."
You want to meet? name the time, place. no tricks.
Brick jumped as the nurse parted his hair, handing him his clothes. "Here you are, Brick. Try to stay out of trouble, now." She said in an overly cheery tone, complete with a tap on the nose. Brick flushed, he didn't like being treated like a kid. "I should seriously rename the team Rowdyruff MEN." Brick muttered as she walked away, which made the adjacent Bunny involuntarily laugh. Though quiet, she plastered on a glare to shrug off any thoughts that se might like Brick.
Brick tied his hair back and replaced his cap, an endeavor that took a good 7 minutes. He untied the knot holding the stupid hospital robe, and pulled on his extra layers of clothing, facing away from the girls in case they were a bit 'squeamish'. Putting on a unemotional visage, he walked over to read Blossom's text over her shoulder. "The sooner the better, I say."
Its not me you should be worrying about when it comes to tricks. Park tomorrow 5 PM. Zim texted back.
"Why do I have a feeling that I will have to end up stopping that idiot from trying to kill me?" Zim asked himself as the text was sent from his phone that they called the Dare or something like that it was nice, but nothing like what Irken tech could do.
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
Blossom was irked at Brick for reading over her shoulder, but she said nothing. As she cleared the text, she consulted the clock on her phone. 2346. Goddammit, was it really that late? Longest... night... ever... "Do you have a place to stay, Bunny?" Blossom asked her sister as the three of them made their way out of the hospital. "I could probably get you a room at the hotel Brick and I are staying at."
