"If you don't mind." Bunny said, mentally gagging at the thought of the two sharing a hotel room. Brick stayed silent, but a look from him gave Bunny a clear message of how she was to behave. Bunny smirked, shrugging off his warning. "If she's staying with us, does that mean I'm on the floor or will you two share a bed?" Brick asked, gruffly.
"I don't mind sharing," Blossom shrugged. "If the chair in the corner is the type that folds out, though, I'll take that. I like snug sleeping spaces." She needed to call Max at some point, but that could wait until tomorrow after she'd had some sleep. His text did say, call when you can.
(Imma do a time lapse then. It looks as though the others are asleep.. so..)
Brick awoke with a jerk the next morning. He flung himself up and out of the bed, but his leg caught on the sheet under him. He hit the floor with a thud, waking bunny who had slept in the adjacent bed. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, before grabbing her glasses off of the end table and spying Brick on the floor. "Jeez you're noisy." She said, being extra careful to step on Brick's hair as he stood. He jerked his head though, and she fell backwards on the bed. "Don't play rough with a rowdyruff." He said, before walking into the bathroom to tie his hair in front of the mirror. Bunny scoffed and walked over to Blossom, who was sleeping soundly in the fold-out chair, wrapped in an afghan and a comforter Brick had been 'kind' enough to donate the night before. Bunny shook her sister gently to wake her up.
Bubbles yawned slowly, blinking tiredly. It seemed she had slept the night away, for once, and she was really starting to feel the benefits. Groggily, she shifted under her covers.
Rini is not a morning person.....or is she?
Shoving the covers off of her, she tiredly gazed at the form laying bundled in the covers on the next bed over. Her mind was finally starting to click, and she realized who she was looking at.
Oh yeah......Berserk wanted me to sleep here tonight. I wonder how I'll pull this off without suspicion.
Grinning, she started to stretch herself out to be rid of all the irritating kinks and such that might have taken hold during her sleep. She noticed right away that she was getting stiff and a bit sore, but it was nothing major. A few minutes of stretching and she was perfectly fine, refreshed even.
On a personal level, Bubbles loved mornings. She would never admit that to HIM, but it was true. It almost seemed like nothing bad could ever happen during the first rays of sunlight. It all seemed so innocent, lively. Taking a deep breath, she sucked in the fresh morning air.
Blossom didn't want to wake up, but the person shaking her wouldn't quit, and she was vaguely aware of sunlight on her face. Arching her back, she reluctanly stirred, stretching her arms before combing her fingers through her hair to calm the bed head. "Brick's in the bathroom?" she asked Bunny, glancing towards the closed door. She felt better for the sleep, and now figured she could probably stand another interrogation by Max. Blossom wasn't entirely certain about calling him in front of Bunny and Brick, but she didn't see another way. It wasn't like she could leave them alone together.
"Yeah, but he's been back there for a few minutes so I dont think he's in the shower." Bunny said, pulling the blankets off of Blossom. "Now get up!" She said, throwing the comforter onto the bed across from her, "I'm starving!"

Berserk
Berserk heard the creak of movement from the wooden bed and the singing of the birds.
Oh god, I hate mornings...
Berserk wanted to lob an energy ball at the bird which was singing right outside the window, but didn't want to upset or scare Rini.
Berserk yawned as she heaved herself off her bed. She looked across her shoulder and saw Rini was already up.
"Morning!" she greeted, immediately grasping her character. All her memories returned to her, and all her (rather limited) knowledge readied for its usage.
Berserk knew this was going to be a bad day... something in her core was making her feel it.
Blossom shivered briefly at the sudden lack of warmth before standing. "Fine, fine, breakfast." The clock on the table between the two beds read 0758, but was it accurate? Still groggy, Blossom dug through her duffel and found a pair of jeans, a white camisole, and a thin black hoodie with three vertical pink stripes that ran up the left side of the zipper before curling into a heart at the top. Live, Laugh, Life the stripes said. She glanced at the bathroom and debated briefly between running Brick out and having some actual privacy or just changing as quickly as she could and taking her chances. She settled on the latter, backing into the corner beside the bed so that she could at least see what was happening in the room. As she peeled off her pink cotton pajamas.
Bunny, hearing the doorknob of the bathroom click, slammed against it, trapping Brick inside. "Ah, what is it now!?" Brick yelled. "Just sit tight, Red. Blossom's up, and since you've go the bathroom.." Getting the hint, Brick slid to the bathroom floor and pouted, crossing his arms. "Alright, just tell her to hurry up! It's stuffy in here." Bunny relayed the message, and eased off of the door. She slept in her normal clothes last night, so she didn't have much of a morning routine, besides putting up her hair. She looked at it in the mirror and decided she would let it stay down today, and she went over to the little TV set and clicked it on.
Zim woke up and knew he had awhile to prepare so he decided to take a look at the security films from a few years back and see why in the world had caused Gir to switch back in forth from his stupidity and us smarter but not deadly form.
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
"Sorry, Brick," Blossom called, zipping up her sweatshirt only partially. "I'm decent now."
Grabbing her shoes, she sat down on the end of her/Bunny's bed and put them on as she watched the TV. It was still on CNN from when she had been watching it last night - oh, em, gee. Really? It was just last night? - but nothing was exploding or on fire. That was a good sign. "I vote we find a McDonald's for breakfast. I don't feel like dealing with the hotel's lame continental breakfast deal."
"Who said anything about breakfast?" Brick said, slipping his sneakers on. "I thought it was straight to Zim.." "Violence isn't easy on an empty stomach, Brick. " Bunny said. "I'm not 'allowed' to be violent, remember? I just want some flipping answers. And breakfast will only delay--" Brick's stomach growled, rather loudly. After a moment's pause, he mumbled in favor of going to get breakfast. "But McDonalds is so.. icky for breakfast.. How's about A&W? Nothing says 'morning person' like a root beer float!" Bunny said excitedly. She had a massive sweet tooth, which she always let loose when someone else was buying her food.
"The meeting with Zim isn't until this evening, 1730," Blossom told Brick. She then winced at Bunny's suggestion. "Ice cream for breakfast...?" Blossom had never had much of a sweet tooth. She was really craving something with chicken and cheese and hot peppers. Yeah, TexMex would be just right to wake her up. That and an iced coffee.
Bunny pouted. "You're no fun.." "I say we just go to ihop or something. But considering we got Blossom with us, we're going where she wants." Brick said gruffly. "So what is it, leader girl?"
Blossom wasn't trying to be bossy. "IHOP's fine," she muttered, going to the mirror beside the TV to pull her hair into a high ponytail, tying her ribbon in a bow around the base. Just like old times... she mused, looking her reflection over.
"Hmm it would appear that GIR got himself into a bit of trouble with my electronic machine. That or it was laser. Either way it seems to have fired what little circuitry he still had and made his brain somewhat bi-polar." Zim said finally reaching a film clip from about two years ago in which GIR was unconcious from a blue bolt of some sort.
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
She doesn't seem in that bad a mood, but I'm getting a bit uneasy. Someone here is feeling awfully anxious, and it isn't me.
Rubbing her eyes, Bubbles could finally see clearly. Her mind was finally clearing the morning fuzz, and she realized just how stupid it was for her to greet the morning in such a way.
I'm a villain now, what do I have to be happy about? This is getting to be a pain.
She placed a pleasant smile on her face, but inside she was beginning to rot. This is how her mornings usually went though, it started off great and then she remembered exactly what her mission was about. Her eyes darted to the window that the bird was chirping in, getting a bit peeved at its incessant squawking.
Its her! Her! Look everyone, its BUBBLES! Backstabber! We trusted you! Why!? Why are you doing this to us!?
And so the bird went on, grating on her patience. Discretely, Bubbles narrowed her eyes and brought her index finger up to her lips. The faintest of blue lights glowed for a split second, and the bird was silenced.
Bunny grabbed the redheads' wrists, then bolted down the hall with an exited cry of "PANCAAAAAAAKES!" stopping only to allow a family of three pass through the revolving door ahead of them, before jumping out to the sidewalk. "So.. um.." She said, rather sheepishly, "which way now?" Brick just sighed.
Rini nodded shakily, 'intimidated' by Berserk's sudden change in attitude.
"O-oh.....alright...uh....so what do you want to do uhm....?"
Bubbles realized that Rini might not know who the heck Berserk was, even if she had overheard. Normal humans couldn't really hear from that distance anyway. And she was SUPPOSED to have left.
Blossom laughed at her sister's enthusiasm before leading them two and a half blocks east to the IHOP. She ordered crepes with a lingon berry sauce (red current sauce that's supposed to be Swedish) and checked the clock on her phone. 0915. Max was usually in his office by 0430, so it should be safe enough to call in.
But Blossom only got the answering machine. Frowning, she tried Max's cell, but that one was actually turned off. Quickly, she scrolled through her contacts until she found the number for Max's second in command, Jules.
"Heya, PowerPuff," the younger man greeted after picking up. "Let me guess: big trouble in little Megaville?"
"Kinda," Blossom answered. "Where's Max? He told me to call in."
"He's in K-stan, sweetie. The Extremists took an American ambassador hostage, so the President sent in the US's top negotiator."
"Hey, Jules, what all has Max told you about what I'm doing here?"
"Everything," Jules responded. Blossom could hear him shuffling through papers on the other end of the phone. "He briefed me when things started getting tense in the Pit. So what's up?"
"Well..." Blossom glanced at Brick and Bunny, but figured she may as well talk. The three of them were living together, and they were involved in this as well. "I ran into my sister Bunny, yesterday. She was recreated by a Mrs. Wakeman. And I also met an alien named Zim. Brick recognizes him from something called Black Eden. Zim got my number somehow, and said that he's got answers for my questions, so we're meeting him in the park this evening, 1730."
"And you want me to research Zim, Mrs. Wakeman, and this Black Eden?"

Berserk
"Oh... anything... unless you want me to leave?" Berserk asked. She wasn't really sure what to do now. She'd almost given up on looking for Brat anymore.
"I'm quite a loner anyway..." Berserk admitted truthfully.
She went to the window-sill and saw the deformed figures of killed birds.
"Peculiar phonemenon... random birds dying... unless we have a SPY!" Berserk shouted.
Quickly, she flew out of the window and scanned the outside, but there was nobody around. Berserk returned back into the room.
Whoops. Guess I laid it on them a little too hard. They had it coming at least.
Rini looked on, worried and a bit gittery at Berserk's sudden outburst. Of course, Bubbles wasn't surprised at Berserk's suspicion, but she would never let that show.
"O-oh........those poor birds...what do you suppose happened to them?"
She figured that this situation would be a bit awkward, regardless of what personality Rini showed. She really wasn't that weak, but it seemed as though she should at least ACT the part of a frightened young teen. Berserk WAS a super-villain afterall. And besides, birds randomly dying would freak anyone out.
Shouldn't they?
"A loner.....thats unfortunate. I guess we hace a bit in common. Adam's really been the only one I've stayed with for 'long' periods of time."
Pausing, as if mulling it over in her mind, Rini spoke up again.
"Y-you don't really think there a s-SPY do you? How could anyone know where you were so quickly?"
Or for that matter, where SHE was. Though, she was betting a 'spy' was the least of their worries. Afterall, SHE was the one who killed those birds. She had only meant to silence them, but they were so annoying that she had lost control. Again.
Will I ever get that power down? I seem to be better at understanding new languages....but the act of taking away speech is rather hard. And giving it....I've only tried THAT a few times. Not like I've ever really had a willing volunteer.
"Well well well. Looks like someone is trying to access my file. Unfortunately for them.. unless they are the President or the Department head I doubt they will get very much information out of my file. Other then I work for them and my falsified documents about birth and all that." Zim said before he turned to GIR.
"GIR its time for your bi-annual check up." Zim called him
"YAY!! I like---" was as far as GIR got before he shut himself down so the Computer could begin its scans.
"Nothing abnormal so far"
I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
Blossom's phone buzzed. It was a message from Jules. I found Zim in the personnel files, of all places, but there's not a lot of info, and what is there seems fishy.
He's an agent??? Blossom texted back. is that how he got my number?
"Well, now, that's a bummer, ain't it?" Brick said, again reading over Blossom's shoulder, "If I kill him now it won't be too easy to cover it up.. " Brick sighed heavily. This homecoming visit was getting far too complicated. He even fell back to sticking around with Blossom. And her so called 'sister' Bunny didn't help.
Bunny kicked Brick in the leg, telling him that it was rude to read a lady's personal messages. Brick again sighed, looked out the window for a moment, then turned back to Blossom.
"Even if the info is false, can you read it out for me?" He said, leaning forward and placing his elbows on the table, "I'm sure I can pick out any falsehoods, and figure out what he wants to hide from us.."

"It's only a birth certificate and date of entry to the Bureau," Blossom told him. "It says that Zim is sixteen years old and became an agent two years ago. So, either the age is fake, or he's a genius like me."
"The age is fake. The way the others of Black Eden treated him, it was obvious he wasn't the sharpest tool." Brick sat upright, arms crossed.
"His age doesn't seem all that important, unless for 'God knows why' he doesn't want others to know he's an alien." Brick's breakfast was placed in ront of him by thier waitress, but he just pushed it to Bunny's side of the table. He didn't have much of an appetite, but Bunny just scarfed it down, almost oblivious to the matter at hand.
"What is Black Eden?" Blossom asked. "Is it government sponsored or something to overthrow the government? What? And if Zim was there and is with the FBI, then is he a double agent working for one?"
"I think Black Eden was a side affair for Dr. Brisbane. World Domination and the like. And as far as Zim being a double agent? I guess we'll figure that out later." Brick began mulling over what he would do when he saw Zim later today.
