Grace's eyes blinked open. Or at least, she thought they did. She could see everything as if she were awake, but her conciousness wasn't connecting with her body, thus leaving her body comatose and unmoving.
She searched her brain for Velliety, Azianman, anyone really, but couldn't find anyone but herself.
So why am I still so... stuck here? she pondered, pacing inside her head.

Zenith: Oh, hey, everyone. Yep, I'm here to skip the RP ahead one week so we can continue with the adventures of everyone at Sky High. I just hope that Grace is alright. I'm worried about her.
Arch: I'm sure she'll be fine. Kat will take care of her. After all, she is her OC.
Zenith: And I'm Magic's. Hey, wait, what are you doing here? o.0
Arch: I...don't really know. o.o
Zenith: Huh... Well, anyway, I guess now is a good of a time as any to advance this thing. So, without further ado...
Arch: James? o.0
Zenith: Huh? What the hell are you doing here? o.o
James: I don't know! D= I'm not even in this RP!
Zenith: Well, now that you're uh, here, would you mind helping us with the timeskip?
James: Eh, sure, why not? It's not like I have anything better to do.
tFab: Hey guys, what's going on?
Zenith: Oh, great... >.<
James: What are you doing here? o.0
tFab: Well, I'm in the RP right above you guys so I thought I'd drop in and see how things were going.
Zenith: Eh, not so good. This RP has been on hiatus since June 8, 2009 and we're about to do a timeskip to advance the plot by a week to get it started again.
tFab: Wow, it has been a while. o.o Huh, just a week? Take it from me, a week is a hell of a lot better than three years.
James: But you get to see everyone when they're younger. D= So tell me, what do the Powerpuff Girls look like these days? =)
Arch: Can we PLEASE just advance this thing already? >.<
Zenith: Alright, alright. A one week timeskip coming right up.
Zenith, Arch, James, and tFab: IT'S A ONE WEEK TIMESKIP, PEOPLE. WE'RE PRETTY SURE YOU CAN HANDLE IT FROM HERE.
Grace walked into the library with her head bowed, trying to hide her face from the students who had recently started flocking to the library.
After the incident in the cafeteria, rumors had started going around that Grace wasn't really a sidekick at all, but a villain. Some rumors were kinder, but still scandalous, concerning her and Awa.
Grace tried to ignore the whispering voices, grateful that those were the only voices she heard. The maniacal voice inside her head had seemingly vanished for good, thanks to AzianMan.

Zenith
Zenith was in the library once again sitting at a table reading one of his favorite chemistry books. It had been a week since the cafeteria incident and he had heard rumors going around that Grace was a villain instead of the sidekick she initially played out to be. Zenith scoffed at such ridiculous notions. Grace didn’t seem to be that kind of person and every now and then he’d keep a close eye on her to make sure that nothing crazy happened. He glanced up as she walked into the library with her head bowed low. He sighed knowing that she didn’t want to attract attention to herself and let more rumors be spread around. He then offered her a little wave before going back to his reading.
“I really hope she doesn’t let these stupid rumors get to her. The last thing she needs right now is negative influence from her peers and doing something rash because of it.”
Grace glanced at Zenith sitting comfortably reading a science book. She smiled slightly as he waved, and inclined her head to him; an acute motion, she didn't want to drag him into the rumor mill as well.
Grace eyed the flocks of students at tables, all cutting their eyes at her and gossiping in what they thought were subtle whispers.
The little breezes that she usually used to float above the ground were gone, Grace had bid them to stay behind at home this morning, as she had the whole week. She was wearing sandals, and her hair was tied neatly back into a bun at the nape of her neck. Maybe without any outward displays of power at all, she thought, they'll all go back to gossiping about all the heroes and villains, and not about me...

Zenith
Zenith turned a page in his book and quickly glanced around the room. Nearly every table was filled with students reading, studying, or web-surfing. He had never seen the library this crowded before and hoped that it wasn’t because people figured out that the place was pretty much Grace’s hangout and if they wanted to spread more rumors about her, then this was the place to be.
“Idiots,” he thought to himself quietly. “It does no good to spread rumors about people. They should keep their comments to themselves.”
He turned the page to a chapter about water and started to reminisce about when he drizzled some rain on Dart’s head and accidentally got some pages of the books on the table wet. He remembered how upset Grace had gotten and vowed not to use his storm powers in the library again unless in case of extreme emergency.
Silently, Grace pulled books from a cart and read their spines for the proper placement. She walked into a row of shelves, and, finding it empty, she rifted to the correct places for all of the books to get her job finished faster.
Grace just wanted to get out of the library. The place that was once her sanctuary, her home away from home, was now compromised, unsafe, and just a stage for the school's gossips to put the spotlight on her. She sighed, missing the comforting feeling of a tranquil, quiet library.
With the last book, Grace rifted to the shelf right behind Zenith's chair and grimaced at how exposed she was. She backed away into the row behind and brushed her fingers sadly across the books on the shelves.
The sounds of endless babble of rumors filled Farsight's helmet, his suit was built to pick up sounds from great distances to help glean information during a mission but now it worked against him. He had gone to the library to try and catch up on some study due to the fact he came late to school, he had expected a nice quiet area were he could, with peace of mind, read and focus on his study.
But no, instead he found most wasting their time on trivial matters. Already a week in and it seemed someone had made a name for themself and had gotten the spotlight, wanted or not.
Finally he had enough, Farsight wasn't interested in hearing second hand information nor was he interested in finding the truth at this time. Without warning he stood up and moved to head outside where there was more of a chance to actually focus on what was needed.
"And to think the library was once a place of study." He simple stated as he got to the door, his voice distorted by his helmet communicator.

Zenith
The chapter Zenith was reading started going into the very volatile effects of the Alkali metals when exposed to water and he was eager to read it until he glanced at the clock hanging on the wall over the double doors.
“Damn... It seems that class will be in the next twenty minutes.”
He wasn’t particularly fond of his next class – history – and to make matters worse, the teacher constantly lectured without really engaging the students in anything. And he wondered why so many people fell asleep in his class. Zenith shook his head and thought about his chemistry and physics classes. How he wish he could spend his days in the labs instead of in a boring classroom with a teacher whose idea of interacting with the students instead of usually lecturing was showing slideshows of his vacations. Even though Zenith was an upperclassman, he still couldn’t choose which classes he wanted to attend the most.
“Well, maybe it won’t be so bad this time,” he muttered to himself before resuming his reading.

Professor Sig finally made his way back to the science department and took a seat in the break room. "Well, this year is gonna to be a long year that is for sure." He said with a sigh, after having to deal with yet another first year thinking he could so more then he really could.
"Oh.. I think I'm suppose to be teaching now." He said realizing that he had to teach the first years today. "Well I guess I should go and apologize for being late." he said as he got up and headed off to his classroom.
"Good morning class, I apologize for being late, bit of an incident earlier in the day." He said as he began his lecture of basic Chemistry.
After the class finally ended, many of the students were glad to finally be free of his class. Sig was known as a good professor, just he had high expectations from all the students he taught.
"Well think I will go and take a little walk." he said with a bit of a sigh, making sure he locked up the materials, since many of the villians enjoyed to "borrow" a few grams of some of his more explosive minerals and what not.
Seigfried finally headed into the class room to take a bit of a walk around the campus. It always amused him how many of the kids were trying to figure out who was what, that usually wasn't completely determined until after the first year.

I'm not a nazi!... I'm a hamster with food in my cheeks!
Grace sighed as she left her first class. Sidekick classes were not her favorite at all. All you learn in those rooms was how to hand the hero their weapon if they need it.
She muttered to herself, tugging a loose strand of hair out of her face and back into her demure bun. She paced through the hallways, blisters already forming on her heels from the sandals she wasn't accustomed to.
Trying to avoid the stares of her nosy peers, Grace ducked into the nearest classroom to form a rift to her next one.
(OOC: I left it open for anyone to be in the classroom )
Awa sighed, pulling her dark hoodie a little closer to herself. School wasn't as fun as she'd remembered it before, not after last week. She couldn't really pay attention in class anymore, the lessons taking backseat to the whisperings and rumors that constantly invaded her ears.
How dare those people talk about her side-kick, her friend that way? Grace was a great person, but now everyone was going to get the wrong idea! It was so unfair.
With a sigh, the young hero began to pack up her stuff and get ready for her next class. Though the excitement she would have had before was all but completely extinguished.

Zenith
Zenith quickly walked past the throng of students, eager to get away from the consortium of timeline charts and “We Want You To Know History” posters that lined the walls of his Superhero History 101 classroom. His domain lay more with the physics and chemistry department, specifically the labs with their cabinets chock-full of various chemicals, rocks and minerals, and superhero-related tech equipment.
“I’m glad that’s done for today,” he muttered to himself as he entered a lab and set his backpack on the floor. “I know history is important and all, but I’d rather spend my time with the things that really matter.”
He went to one of the cabinets and removed a large mineral from one of the shelves. This particular cabinet was not locked up on account that it contained significantly less dangerous samples of rocks and minerals than the others. Sig locked those cabinets to prevent thefts and he usually trusted Zenith around the samples of the Alkali metals, the Halogens, and such, but there were even some samples that wouldn’t be entrusted even to a hero, much less an upperclassman. The object that Zenith removed from the cabinet was almost spherical, roughly the size of an orange, and it was one of a few samples that the school had in its possession. Zenith carefully carried it to the lab bench and removed a magnifying glass, a pair of tweezers, and several small beakers from one of the drawers.
“I haven’t worked with this mineral in a long time,” he said as he carefully used the tweezers to grab a few of the straight, radiating, fibrous, white, needle-like crystals before dropping them into a beaker. “Okenite is reported to have some pretty strange properties and Professor Johnson, er, Sig, wanted me to run some tests on this thing, so I’d better get right to it. Hopefully, I’ll have some feedback for him later in the day.”
"We need to talk Zenith." Came the distorted voice of Far Sight, the masked teen had just entered the sciencelab. He walked calmly to the table careful not to disturb Zenith's experiments, "No need to stand up or the like, just carry on with your project, I'm just here to speak my mind and give some advice."
The two fourth years rarely had any contact with each other, Zenith appeared more the social type and would naturally had a different circle of friends and enemies. Far Sight was more colder and calculating type, not too mention that while he took hero classes he downright stated he'd be a neutral fighter.
"Been hearing some rumours about a side-kick, a girl who's one year below us, none too flattering rumours I might add." He took a chair and sat at the table opposite Zenith's work table, his resting his arms on the table's surface he continued, "We both know that sometimes those rumours get out of control and our... opposites and rivals take advantage, after all it's in their training manual... especially since she's someones side-kick."
He paused part of him was curious with what Zenith was doing but was polite enough not too peek or record what his work involved, he was here to talk not to dig up dirt. "Any way the main reason to why I'm here is because I need your opinion of the girl and what you feel would be appropriate for 'said girl', after all taking action without thinking is a newbie's mistake. And as fourth years we should begin to set the example."

Zenith
Zenith didn’t look up from his work when Far Sight walked in. He never took much notice of the student, who mostly kept to himself, but Zenith did know that he was a fellow fourth year.
“We need to talk, Zenith.”
The statement echoed in his mind. What could they possibly have to talk about? They barely even knew each other. The answer came when Far Sight hinted at Grace and the rumors that were circulating about her. Zenith really didn’t want to be bothered by this right now. True, he felt that Grace didn’t deserve such harsh comments and speculation from other students, but he didn’t feel there was any need for immediate action. If things escalated out of control though, then he might be forced to intervene. Zenith suddenly looked up at the student sitting across from him at the opposite table when he asked for his opinion about Grace and what he felt would be appropriate for her.
“My opinion of her?” He didn’t want to use her name directly so as to put some kind of spotlight on her. “I think that she doesn’t deserve the rumors that are circulating about her. I know how cruel people can be and if they see or hear the slightest disruption to their everyday lives, then they’ll start gossiping about it. I’m sure you know what can happen when something takes on a life of its own, so to speak. It’s like a never-ending chain. I like her as a friend. She is a good student and has since lost her sanctuary that was once the library. I would gladly use my powers to blow everyone out of the room so it can become less crowded and noisy again, but at the risk of damaging the books in there, I’m afraid I can’t do that. And it’s against the rules anyway. And no, I’m not a goody-goody, but I don’t want to get in trouble for avoidable reasons.”
During his explanation and semi-rant, Zenith forgot about the second part to Far Sight’s statement. He mentally backtracked and mulled over the meaning of his words.
“What would be appropriate for ‘said girl’? What exactly do you mean? Are you suggesting that we should put an end to these rumors and make her feel more at ease?”
He rolled his right shoulder for a moment, trying to gather his thoughts constructively before answering, "Well naturally there are several options open to us. Some involve diplomacy others... well not so much." He paused and made an unintelligible sound through his helmet, "We can't exactly bring this to the higher ups, that would embarrass her to no end so that out of the question, if you agree?"
He waited for Zenith's answer before going on, "Next logical choice is that confront the ones spreading these rumors but that leads up to another problem... for all we know it might be dozens. I'm not worried about my reputation since I build mine on these kind of stunts but you and the girl have bright futures ahead of you so that's also a no go."
Far Sight gave a strange heartless chuckle, "There were other ideas including a wild one about using a gas that makes people forget events, using mind control, make her write an inspiring speech to the school. All of which are nice but I doubt you guys are up to that sort of thing morally...
So I chased down a rumor that there's several hidden corridors and classrooms hidden throughout the school. In theory we could make it a safe haven for her but we'd have to do a bit of detective work to find the blue prints of this place." He tapped on his visor adding, "And of course you'll need to talk with the girl to see what she thinks, it's her pride and life you'll be intruding on."
While his voice was distorted due to the helmet's electronics it had given a semi-friendly tone, now Far Sight suddenly dropped it to emphasize the importance of what he was saying, "I am an outsider to you guys, so I understand you may not want my help. Therefore I brought this up with you, Zenith before I decided to fully involve myself in her affairs."

Zenith
Zenith paused his experimentation with the Okenite to listen to what Far Sight had to say. He was intrigued now and nodded in agreement to his first question.
“Yeah, the last thing I want to do is embarrass her.”
Zenith also nodded at Far Sight’s next comment. He didn’t know how many people were spreading the rumors either. It was just like that never-ending chain he mentioned earlier. One person tells another a rumor. They tell two more people. Then two becomes four and four becomes eight. Maybe a virus spreading would be a better analogy than a chain in this scenario. He slowly shook his head at Far Sight’s other suggestions until he mentioned a rumor about hidden corridors and classrooms located within the school. Zenith perked up at this revelation and leaned forward slightly in his seat. Blueprints… Blueprints would be perfect. He nodded at Far Sight’s addition about letting Grace know of this proposition before any action was taken.
“Yes, yes of course.”
Zenith was eager to get started with this plan. He really didn’t want to see Grace looking so glum and it would be the perfect way for her to be in a quiet, secluded place again. She could even stock it with her own private book collection. However, the more that Zenith thought about the idea, the more doubt starting creeping into his mind and his voice dropped in tone as well.
“I acknowledge the fact that you’re not in the circle, so to speak, but I am interested in your idea. One thing that is puzzling me though is what you would get out of all this. We’re not exactly friends and you said so yourself that your reputation would not be affected, so why help her?”
Far Sight now looked at Zenith directly, eventhough he was wearing a helmet Zenith probably could tell it was now eye-to-eye, "There are reasons to why you never see me during field-trips to beaches or the like." He went quite for a couple minutes before answering Zenith's question, "In retrospect this similiar to what happened to someone I know." He moved his right hand towards helmet and removed the mouth piece, calmly adding, "Try not to run screaming... and I'd like to request that you not tell anyone of what I'm going to talk about but I heard a rumor..."
With the silver mouth piece removed Far Sight's voice was much quiter, it also revealed that while only the lower part of his face was shown, it was covered in scars. Due to Zenith's scientific knowledge it was clear they were made shrapnel. "My vocal cords are also partially damage, reason to why I use an amplifier." He explained as he placed the mouth piece on the table, "I'm curious, do you remember four years ago a sidekick known as Cyber-Boy and his partner Jet-Lad? Not many people do now adays but back in the day due to some physical quirk many of the students made fun of the duo.
But then a rumor started in the second semister, apparently Jet-Lad had fallen for minion. It spread and spread untill some dastardly villain thought to make a name for himself and do a 'mock hostage situation' for the school. The story is sketchy at this point... but perhaps it's best that way after all rumors have it the ending was terribly tragic. All that needs to be known at the end of the day is that Jet-Lad and Cyber-Boy died that day... metaphorically speaking according to some of the rumors."
Far Sight's voice was beginning to strain, forcing him to reattach the mouth piece, "Sometimes you got to let people be people, let the rumors run their course and it'll die down eventually without anyone remembering the facts. Other times one may need to step in and diplomatically resolve these misunderstandings."

Zenith
Zenith stared hard at Far Sight. He had wondered why the guy never went to the outings the school always sponsored and he soon got his answer. After Far Sight removed his mouthpiece, Zenith could see the numerous scars criss-crossing the lower part of his face. He grimaced at the sight and forced himself to look away.
“Ah, I see…”
The previous mention of another rumor helped him to focus on what Far Sight started to ask him. He also wanted to make sure that Zenith did not repeat this rumor to anyone and the fourth year nodded in affirmation. Hmm, a sidekick and partner known as Cyber-Boy and Jet-Lad, respectively?
“Hmm, the names do sound familiar…”
Far Sight started the story about them and with each passing second, Zenith became more intrigued by the situation the two had found themselves in. When he had reached the end, Zenith didn’t know what to say. Both of them had…died? After a ‘mock hostage situation’ went horribly wrong? But wait, metaphorically-speaking? So it just completely ruined their lives? No one really died? Zenith was becoming confused and Far Sight’s suggestions were not exactly helping.
“So, we either let the rumors run their course and hope for the best or intervene and set things straight manually. Hmm, if the rumors run their course and die out, she might not have her sanctuary that is the library back and the secret place we have in mind for her could also be in jeopardy. However, if we intervene then what would be the ramifications? Gah, now I don’t know what to do…”
A strange sound began to emit from Far Sight's helmet, it seemed cold, alien and completely out of place for it was the sound of Far Sight's laughter. After a couple seconds the noise died down, "It's funny, here in Sky High they try to teach us to be heroes and yet they don't really train you to deal with the norms of society. You'd think they'd add that to the curriculum but they never seem to care about us being, normal."
There was a moment of awkward silence while Far Sight tried to compose himself, "Regardless, I've taken enough of your time and focus from your project, you should speak with the girl and see what she thinks. After all you both can always decide what you want to do with those rumors once you have a quite place to think. If you need any assisstance just look me up, I'm impossible to miss."
He waited for Zenith's reaction before he stood up and left the room, leaving the teen to his own devices.

Zenith
It took a moment or two for Zenith to realize that the sound coming from Far Sight was laughter and he soon joined in the merriment, chuckling lightly.
“Geez, listen to me. I’m usually the calm one who can keep it together under pressure and here I am worrying over what to do next. I realize though that the ultimate decision will be very crucial, but I should be going about it in a less stressful manner.”
Zenith considered what Far Sight had said about the students not being trained to deal with societal norms and he nodded his head in agreement. The teachers really should take that into consideration and add it to next year’s syllabi. Zenith sensed that Far Sight was wrapping up his visit and nodded in affirmation that he would talk it over with Grace and see what she thought about the plan, as well as agreeing with his other statements. He lingered for a moment longer before exiting the room and leaving Zenith alone once again. He sat in silence for a minute, contemplating his next move, before putting the lab equipment and Okenite back in their proper places. In order to tell Grace what he had discussed with Far Sight, he needed to find her first. After giving the room a final check-over, he shut the door and began his search.
Shaking slightly with the effort of rifting more than once in a few minutes, Grace sighed and opened a portal to the classroom she knew was next to her second period classroom. It was a music room, and it was always empty until after lunch started.
Before she stepped through the dark rip in front of her, Grace pulled a small, leather-bound book from her bag. She carried it in her hands through the portal, and after she made it through, she pulled a pen from her bag as well and opened the book.
She stood still, quietly writing some thoughts in her journal before carefully putting her things back in her shoulder bag, looking cautiously out from the classroom, and slipping into the hallway towards her history class.

Zenith
Zenith left the physics and chemistry wing of the school and continued his search in the math wing. Even though Sky High was a school dedicated to everything superhero and supervillain, the place still held the feel of a regular school so there was at least a small sense of ‘normalcy’. Zenith had no idea what Grace’s schedule was like and it wasn’t lunchtime yet, so there were lots of places for him to look.
“Ever since the students starting using the library as a noisy hangout rather than a quiet domain, she’s been visiting there less and less. Where could she possibly be?”
He sharply turned a corner and nearly collided with another student carrying a tall stack of textbooks. After quickly apologizing, he continued on his way, stopping briefly at a water fountain to get a drink. He was glad that he had some free time today to participate in this little endeavor, but if she didn’t turn up soon he may not get another chance until later in the day or even tomorrow.
Walking tall and proud Far Sight moved through the crowded hallways, it was odd but Far Sight had taken a strange sense of enjoyment from talking with Zenith. Perhaps it was the fact he had done a good deed that gave him self-satisfaction. A couple students came running out of the classroom, forcing Far Sight to quickly move aside though any superhero would try and tell them off, he simply shrugged it off. Live and let live after all they hadn't done anything... yet.
Almost reflexively his cybernetic hand curled into a fist preparing for any confrontation that may or may not occur shortly. Seconds ticked by as the crowd once again was on the move allowing Far Sight to get his destination. He had plenty of time to reflect outside, after all one only needs to contemplate for several minutes to reach-, "What the hell. I think my programmer made a mistake with my neural implants. Far Sight thought somewhat bitterly as he found a secluded spot in the courtyard, "I don't think that deeply... completely out of character..."
He watched students walk by, occasionally one would look at his direction, probably wondering if he was watching him or her specifically underneath his featureless helmet. They were lucky, judging by Zenith's reaction it was clear he wasn't much of a looker. Not with those scars anyway. He sighed and lay down, taking the time to look at the clouds and sun slowly pass by. "Should've brought a book." He muttered humorously.
