Sky High [IC Thread]

Demonika was absolutely shocked. She had been sure that third-year was going to crush her!

Wow, I am having the strangest luck today...

Just then, she heard the commotion that was ensuing in the cafeteria. So, that must have been the reaso that the other girl turned her attention away from Demonika. Demonika patted Luna's back and ran towards the caf to find out what was going on.

-Rick-

Rick started to calm down once Adrian was free and near him again.
He bear hugged Adrian.
"Okay, just drop this damn anti-grav field!" he shouted at One and Two.

-Rick-

Rick whirled around to see the demonic looking creature charging at them.
"Fuck." was all he said as he charged forward, his right fist pulled back ready to punch the thing straight in it's face.

Devlin

Devlin sighed. He really didn't want to have to discipline a first year on the first day...but he left him no choice.

"Thorn, show this first year how things are done here."

Thorn lifted from Devlin's shoulder. His skin bubling, Thron grew to three time his size, his tail feathers melitng into one another, forming a long spiked reptlian tail. His talons became long and serrated as teeth grew in his mouth. With a thunderous caw, Thorn picked Rick off the ground, and held him there. Devlin walked over to Rick, tsiking as he smiled.

"I intervened fro a reason. You are a first year student, and no matter how tough you are, your still no where near as powerful as Mia. If you want to live, I suggest you take my earlier advice."

Devlin kept his voice pleasent, his face in a kind smile.

Demonika watched the fight in horror. That monster-woman and that giant boy were going to rip each other to pieces! She was both relieved and frightened when her uncle came between the fighters.

Just then, as she was watching the scene in front of her, she happend to notice a strange figure from the other side of the room. Holding Luna back, Demonika took one slight step forward to take a closer look and saw what appeared to be a boy her own age in extreme pain.

The momentary distraction of the boy across the room was quickly ended when she noticed that her seemingly furious uncle was now smiling. Luna seemed to notice this as well.

Uh oh, this cannot be good...

Rick smiled.
"Who the hell said I wanted to live?!" he cackled, as he broke free of the birds talons, fell to the ground and charged the demon again, his bone spurs becoming more noticeable now, tearing through his sweatshirt and pants.

Devlin

Devlin's smiled dissapeared as Rick broke free of Thorn's talons. This little brat needed to be taught a lesson.

"I truly do hate dissaplinning children...but you hav eleft me no choice. I sai for you to stop, so you will stop."

Raing his right arm, Devlin mumbled a few words under his breath. Black lightning shot into the ground, and less then a second later, at least a dozen or so beings rose from the ground. Each took a female appearence, wearing pure white gowsn over their telecate looking skin. Although they looked weak, these ebings each had their own power, and were not to be trifled with. One of the beings raised her hand, a Rick was lfted off the ground. Another ones eyes flashed, and Rick was covered in chains. Then the rest grabbed Rick, and brought him to face Devlin.

"My dear boy, here at Sky High, when a teacher says enough, that means to STOP what your doing. Now, I'm a nice teacher, and I won't hold it against you this time. I suggest you go and get ready for class."

Devlin spoke in a kind but stern tone. HIs pateince was running out.

Rick growled. This old fool was getting in the way!
He'd die for this later...
"You fool, all you're doing is hindering my chance at becoming stronger! Let me go and I won't have to destroy you later." he said, glaring at the old fool.

Devlin

Devlin grinned once again. HIs eyes widened for a quick second, revealing the oure malice, the evil that hids within the mild mannered teacher for less then a second before his eyes went back to normal.

"My dear boy, you are but a first year...while I am a teacher. You could not kill me even of you tried. Now, when a teacher says to end a fihgt, you END it. My Miadens will keep you in these chains, and excort you and you rfriend out of the cafe, and will only release you when your far away. Welcome to sky high kid."

As Adrain lunged at Devlin, he simply raised his arm, unleashed a short force feild, which sent the feline Adrian into Thorn's awaiting claws.

"Now GO."

Rick roared, this fool would die, slowly, painfully.
"I may not be able to kill you NOW, but in a few short years, I'll HAVE YOUR HEAD!" he roared struggling to break the chains.

-Rick-

Rick started to calm down a little bit after hearing Adrians voice in his ear, he always managed to calm him down with his mere presence.
He nodded and whispered. "You're right, and he won't know what hit him when I do..."

Devlin

Devlin just sighed as his maidens carried Rick off out of the caf. When they got far enough, the chains disappeared, and so did the Maidens. Meanwhile, Devlin just looked at One, Two, and Mia.

"Good to see you all again this year. It seems we have some interesting first year students. Oh, by the way, I'd like you to meet my niece, Demonika. If one of you would show her around the school, I'd greatly appretiate it. It's her first year, so please be nice."

Thorn returned to his raven form, and landed on Devlin's back. Devlin mothined towards the caf entrence, at the form of Demonika.

Rick punched the ground as hard as he could in frustration, the second he was let go, making a massive crater.
He turned to Adrian.
"One day... one day..." he said as he walked down one of the halss.

Demonika slowly took another step forward, this time letting the wolf behind her follow. She looked around at each student, thinking about how she would defend herself should any of them attack her.

"H-hello, everyone..." Demonika stuttered, feeling like an idiot. She knew she probably sounded air-headed and spineless. So she held her chin up, straightened her posture, and looked around her, meeting every set of eyes except for Devlin's.

Kiba

Kiba had decided to follow Rick and Adrian as Devlin took them away. When they were realised, he walked upt ot them.

"Your power is amazing...your a first year, like me right?"

Kiba's eye throbbed again behind his bangs, but he ignored it. Power like Rick's...powers like he had seen...could they be the key to finnaly getting rid OF Darcia's insanity?

Demonika waited for someone to acknowledge her. However, when no one spoke, she looked down at her watch.

"I am s-so sorry, but I really must go. Nice meeting you all and goodbye." Then Demonika turned on her heel and left the caf as quickly as her feet would carry her.

Once she was out in the hall and safe from the other students, she felt an urge to search the boy she had seen earlier to see if he was alright. So she stroked Luna's head thoughtfully as she marched down the hall in determination to find him.

Rick turned to see who was addressing him, it was a boy with two seperate colored eyes that looked kind of deranged.
"Yeah, I'm a first year, and you haven't seen ANYTHING yet." he said grinning.

[Kiba

Kiba fixed his bangs so that it covered his eye. HIs eye was starting to hurt alot more then usual, which meant one thing...

"Listen...Have your ever heard of a creature called Darcia the Insanity? A beast said to be insanity itself? Does it ring any bells?"

In the halls of the school 7:30 am

As Demonika turned the corner she saw a clock and realized that it was almost time to get to the Gym and find her placement.

"Shoot, I can't believe that I didn't even realize what time it was!" she groaned.

Luna whimpered. It is time to go now, Demonika. We can look for the boy later.

So, as quickly as she could, Demonika turned back the way she came and started to search for the Gym.

Rick shook his head, what the hell was this guy talking about?
"No, I've never heard of anything like that." he turned to look at a clock on the wall, it was almost time to get to the gym for placement.
"We'd better get to the gym unless we want to be late on the first day..." he said as he headed towards said place.

Zenith

School library – 7:35 am

Zenith sat in the library reading a thick hardcover book detailing the highly volatile properties of the alkali metals if they were to come in contact with water. After turning another page, he casually glanced up at the clock hanging on the wall and smirked.

“It looks like it’s about time for the first years to head to the gym for the placement ceremony. I’m sure glad that’s all behind me; I really don’t like attending ceremonies. All that hype makes me want to throw up.”

He rolled his eyes and went back to his reading.

“It will be interesting to see who joins Sky High this year, though.”

[Nekoman]

"Are you alright, Two?" One asked, showing the kindness he always sought to conceal.

"I'm fine. Luckily the sphere wasn't broken; I'd be in much worse shape."

"Well, if you're in the shape to walk, you might as well come with me to the gym."

"Why? We aren't first years.."

"I know, I want to see where that Rick guy gets put. Wouldn't be suprised if he wound up a villain, honestly."

He and two suddenly veered right, breaking into a run for the gym.

Kiba

Kiba sighed. HE shouldn't of got his hopes up. Heading towards the gym, Kiba's eye sent a shockwave of pain throuht his entire body. Gasping, Kiba fell against a locker, and grasped his eye. HE had no choice but to go to the gym, so he just hoped he could control himself till after. HEading towards the gym, Kiba prayed that it would not take long.

Dart was waiting for his target. The guy who hadn't payed up... the idiot who had requested a mercenary, but forgot to check if he had the money to do it.

That guy was his ex-boss, and he was moving towards the front entrance of sky high.

The bio cannon extended out of his shell. He fed some gravel from below him into it. The gun churned it into usable ammunition. Dart lay down to start his routine.

"Aim!" he said, steadying the gun, and pointing his head at the target.

"Adjust for distance!" he said, changing the angle of his cannon.

"Adjust for wind!" he said, budging the gun slightly to the right.

"Adjust for movement!"... yet another budge to the right.

"FIRE!" he shouted with his booming voice, and the muscles in his shell pulled a biological hammer, smacking the gravel out of him. It flew for a few seconds in the air, before smashing into somebody, sending him flying into a wall. The person wasn't injured, but could barely move from the pain. Dart retracted his cannon.

"Bullseye!" Dart said in happiness, before pulling into his shell. He rolled within it, seeing only through a small slit in his shell for his eyes, and quickly got to the person, before he stopped.

"Well, hi there... where's the money?" he asked with an angry voice. Dart extended his cannon, pointing it at the victim, who spluttered, and threw dollar notes out of his pocket. Dart picked them up and put them in pockets within his inner shell.

"Thanks for doing business with you!" Dart said, before rolling away again.

Sig had recieved an alarm on his watch in the Cafeteria and he headed that way and noticed Devlin.

"Oye Delvin what happened here? I just an an alarm on my watch about it." Sig said as he placed his hand on one of the steel bars and his fists and most of his arms became steel in case he needed it.

Sig then looked at the clock and figured once he was done here he would head to the gym and start making bets with himself as to who would do well in his class, which ones would be villians, heros, etc.

Devlin

As Zerb called Devlin, Devlin turned to him, and smiled.

"Oh nothing, just some first years and some of our older students got into a fight that got a little out of hand. Don't worry, I stopped them before things got too dangerous."

Devlin decided it was time to go to the ceremony. Demonika would be there, and he did not wantrf to be there when his niece was offically put ion sky high.

[Yetisarge]

"Ah, I should have known.. first years usually don't understand that fighting isn't allowed.. and usually the older ones just try to annoy them. Well shall we both go to the gym and have a look at the new students?" Sig said as they both headed in the direction.

Devlin

"Yes, thats a good idea, infact my niece will be attending this year. Her name is Demonika. I am so proud you have her here, it makes me happy. I raised her when she was just an infant you know?"

[Yetisarge]

"No I didn't know, I don't usually get a list of first years until after the placement tests. Usually I only skim over it anyway." Sig said as they were about to enter the gym and the allowed his body to go back to flesh as they entered the gymnasium.

Devlin

Devlin patted Thorn on the head before awnsering.

"Yes, well I am proud of her for getting hear, and happy...she is the only living relative I have."

Kiba

As Kiba headed towards the gym, he saw the teacher he had seen from the caf with another teacher. As Kiba approached them, his eye sent pain like he had never fealt before. He could see a black aura around one of the teachers, which made his eye throb more. Garbing his eye, Kiba yelled in pain before collasping into Zerb.
